Q: What is the best exhaust system for a Chrysler 300?
I have a Chrysler 300 limited.

What is the best exhaust system to make it sound close to an SRT8?
Money isnt an issue.

A: Flowmaster 40-series

Q: Where do you find a thermostat for a chrysler 300?
I recently did a engine swap in a chrysler concorde lxi. I took out the concorde engine and i put in a chrysler 300 engine. Now i am experiencing over heating problems. I am not sure what to do?

A: Did you change the radiator? This will be important because there was a 2.7L V6, a 3.2L V6 and a 3.5L V6. You have upgraded to the 3.5L V6. The 3.2L is very compareable, but the 2.7L will need a cooling system upgrade also. Make sure that your water pump is working properly, and check the PCV valve.

Q: Is it my imagination or do every Chrysler 300 is driven by a African-American?
I do not mean for this to be a racist question. I have been told by a car expert that the Chrysler 300 looks like a Bentley and is driven by the black gangsta crowd. Just a observation. Did Lee Iacoco do a promo with Snoop Dog? I wonder if thats where the design came from. Again just an observation and no offense.

A: Getto Bentely? with 24″ rims? Please do not take offence I notice that same thing in Dallas/Fort Worth. But I much prefeer a 1985 Chevy Caprice CUSTOM PAINTED with fender vents and 24″ WHEELS SO LARGE THEY HAVE TO LIFT UP THE CAR

Q: How much would it cost to paint my chrysler 300?
Aroudn how much would it cost to paint my chrysler 300 from
Looking for a good high quality paint job and wanting too know around how much I should start saving up to.

A: well my brother paints cars for a living if you want a show paint job and you dont have body work to do around 1,000 maybe it all depends on the shape of the car and if you are changing colors or keeping it the same color hope i helped

Q: Anyone have any information on the Chrysler 300 series?
I need info on the Chrysler 300 series like if it’s a good car,
how many seconds it takes for it to go from 0 to 60 seconds,
and stuff like that. I’m thinking of buying one and need all of the information that i can get on this car from people who can be honest about it. I’m accepting just about any type of info. Please help. Thank you!

A: Look in Consumer Reports, visit auto.consumerguide.com, and visit one of the car magazines (Motor Trend, Automobile, Road & Track, or Car & Driver) to get performance and comparison test information.

Q: What is the wheel bolt pattern on a 1967 Chrysler 300?
I bought a set of steelies with tires from some guy and he said their off a 1967 Chrysler 300. I measured the holes and they measured at 5×100 but i read that they should be 5×114.3, can anyone clarify?

A: They measure 5 x 4 1/2 inches which I believe is 114.3 millimeters.

Q: How do I find information on the chrysler 300 as far as sales and marketing?
How do I find information on the chrysler 300 as far as sales and marketing this is for a class project

Q: What do you think when you see a 18 year old driving a chrysler 300?
I have a chrysler 300 and I see no car can be better but I want to know what other people think about it and what do you think about fixed up chrysler 300s?

A: if your a girl you will look hot and sexy…

if your a guy you will look cool and pick up all the chicks! lol

good car…..look great!

Q: Im looking to buy a chrysler 300 touring or lmtd 2005. Pros and Con because I havent heard much about chrysler
Im looking to buy a chrysler 300 touring or lmtd 2005. Can u give me some pros and cons to the car? Please! just really want to know about chryslers because i havent heard much about chrysler.

A: Get it with the Hemi!! They are really good cars. The interior on them are kinda “meh”, but other than that they are good cars.

Q: Does anyone have mechanical problems with their Chrysler 300?
Someone has commented that the Chrysler 300 can have engine problems after 75K miles or so. Has anyone had any problems with this car, because I’m trying to decide if I should buy it or not. I love the car, so I just wanna hear some truth please!!!
Thanks.

A: All cars have their own problems, the choice lies in which problems you want to fix in the future. Chryslers and Dodges have more transmission problems than engine problems but I have seen some engine problems, too. Most transmissions in them go out between 80,000-150,000 miles. Engine problems start about the 75,000 mile mark also. But I’ve seen quite a few chrysler engines last well into the 200,000 mile range with little problems. It just depends on how well you maintain the entire car (and that’s not just oil changes.) Don’t use garbage oil and parts, keep up with the maintenance and the car should last you a long time.

The reason why I say all cars have their own problems, Ford vehicles rust out rather quickly and you need to keep up on the fluid flushes regularly or parts go out. Chevy V-6’s and some V-8’s have intake problems. Toyota and Honda are good vehicles, but both have expensive maintenance items to take care of (i.e-timing belt/water pump at 60-100,000 miles) Nissan have several problems throughout each vehicle. Kias have very expensive replacement parts and they rarely last more than 100,000 miles without problems.

Q: can i change my chrysler 300 touring edition tailights to the chrysler 300c tailights?
i have a 2006 chrysler 300 touring, and i want to change my taillights and replace them with the chrysler 300c taillights.
is it possible to do?
are the wires and connectors the same?

A: yes u can. there the same.

Q: getting an error on the disk in my chrysler 05 300. what can i do to eliminate the message?
on a recent long trip our gps dvd navigation system in the chrysler 300 kept giving an “error on the disk – check the disk” message. tried wiping the disk and spraying air into the system to remove any dust, but no solution. it continued to work behind the message on the screen. what can i do to fix this? do i need another disk or is it electrical?

A: Usually a new navigation disc will solve this problem.

Q: How can i get in touch with Ralph Gilles the designer of Chrysler 300?
I understand that Ralph Gilles is the designer of the new Chrysler 300. Does anybody know how to get in touch with him. Please if anybody find out please let me know

A: Try sending a letter to Chrysler’s headquarters in Auburn Hills Mi.

Q: Does anyone know if all 2008 Chrysler 300 tourings have tire pressure monitoring?
I just baught a Chrysler 300 touring and am wondering if it should have the tire pressure monitoring on it.

A: Im not positive but im pretty sure it does. Check the valve caps and stem if the cap and stem are metal than yes and if it has the regular rubber stem then check to see if the cap goes all the way down to the stem if it does than it has tire pressure monitoring on it, if it has a little bit of a gap than it doesn’t. I use to work at a shop and thats how we would check for them.

Q: For Chrysler 300 Owners Only!! How much is the average cost on insurance on a Chrysler 300?
I’m 28 and i’m thinking of getting a chrysler 300 with a V6 (3.5 liter) engine. What I want to know is, How much would I pay on insurance? An average estimate.

A: Car insurance is based on the car. But it is also based on the driver: age, sex, driving record, credit, etc. In addition to the car and driver, its based on location. Just because someone else may pay $50 per month for the 300 doesn’t mean that you will pay the same.

Q: Should I buy a used 2000 Toyota Celica for $7700?
I’m looking to purchase a used car. Money’s not a problem, but I am very frugal. There is this car I adored when I saw it on a lot. They offer free financing and pretty fair monthly payments, as well as carfax report… but it has almost 156k mi on it, and they are charging $7700. I’ve been car shopping for a while and I really like this car… if I make an offer, I’ll probably offer a lower amount, since Blue Book price is cheaper by a few hundred bucks. I live in the US and the make is Toyota, and it’s 10 years old. Would this be a foolish buy? What’re some pros and cons?

Thanks!

A: I looked up www.nada.com and a toyota gt loses 550 bucks for high mileage and high retail is 6,200 so unless that car on the dealer lot is in super condition, or has a really large pile of options, its overpriced by about 1,500 bucks, and honestly this is a buyers market these days, if you are going to spend that kind of money, then take your time, have patience, find another low mileage celica owned by some old guy who babied it and you will probably pay a lot less, be picky, be super patient even though its hard, dealers count on people getting some emotional attachment to a car and paying too much money, my advice is what I said above, be patient, take your time, and you will find the car you want that someone did not drive the pee out of already, always take a car like this to an independent mechanic (not the dealer) a dealer is going to do or say whatever it takes to get you to buy the car, your mechanic is going to do or say whatever it takes, to keep you from buying a hunk of crap. good luck, there is a website www.samarins.com that has a ton of information about buying used cars, there are also used car reviews, this may be helpful because there are a lot of crappy cars, flood damaged cars (especially this winter) and worn out high mileage cars, this is NOT WHAT TO BUY!!! good luck hope you find the easyused , baby of your dreams!!!!

Q: I just recently bought a used 2004 toyota celica, i found some transmission problems 2 weeks later and i want.
to return it back to the dealer. Its been about 3 weeks now and i still have temporary tags. Can they do something to my credit or mess me up in any way? Do i have to give them money if i return it back to them??

A: I’m not sure what state you’re in but you need to look up the lemon law and see if you apply. If you do, the dealer may get in trouble and you may get out of the deal scot-free

good luck

Q: How much would a 1981 Toyota Celica Cost? (USED)
It looks brand new, and also has 58k miles on it.

A: I can’t believe u actually put the word “used” on there…
go to KBB.com and get a price

Q: how to ensure that the correct exhaust system is used for my toyota celica 190?
I have a 2001 toyota celica 190. when i purchased it recently it had a modified exhaust. i asked for the modified exhaust to be replaced with a standard one as part of the sale. the new exhaust was still a little noisy but i took the word of the sales man that this was normal. since then i have been informed by a mechanic that part of the modified exhaust was still in place. i was not happy with this but felt i could put up with the noise as it wasn’t too loud. the car was fine for a few weeks until i recently started it from cold and the exhaust was very very loud. it does get quieter as the engine warms up but have decided to take the car back to insist that the exhaust is replaced with the correct one. my question is (finally) how do i ensure that if the garage i bought the car from does in fact replace the exhaust like i asked them too how can i be sure they use the correct one for my car? If they use an incorrect exhaust could it damage my engine and/or seriously affect the performance of the car? thanks and sorry for the overly long question!

A: fuck you and fuck those fucking fart exhaust

Q: how much do you think this used car is worth? Toyota Celica 1988?
Year: 1988
Make: TOYOTA
Model: CELICA ALLTRAC TURBO
Stock Number: 06057Mileage: 164,000
Engine : 2.0LBody : Hatchback
Transmission : ManualCylinders : 4
Fuel : GasDrive : AWD
Doors : 2Interior Color : Black
Exterior Color : Black
Type : Hatchback

..these are the specs, how much do you think it is worth??

A: no more than $500 it’s a toyota and it’s old…

Q: Why is my 1991 Toyota Celica using tires so fast?
We just bought a 1991 toyota celica for nearly nothing. We drove it a while and now it has 2 flats on the front and we are taking it to get a new set this weekend. When going over records the previous owners gave me I noticed that the tires were replaced every 6 months (once one was purchased 2 months after a new set) for almost 3 years. I know some people really keep up their cars and this was a teenage driven car, but every car I have ever owned and driven thousands of miles hasn’t needed a new set of tires at MOST once a year? What would cause this? Would like a good idea so if the tire guy tells me somethings wrong I won’t get ripped off. Thanks a bunch.
We only gave $75.00 for it and it has great gas mileage, if we can just keep it from running into tons of money elsewhere I’ll be doing allright.
But no at that price we didn’t have anyone check it out, it ran, had a decent body on it, so we bought it as is.

A: you need to have the direction of the vehicle checked out you need alignment and balancing of the tires and the vehicles suspension and axis

Q: Where’s the best place to buy new/used parts/accessories for a 2000 Toyota Celica?
Specifically I’m look for a replacement “GTS” emblem and grilles.

A: try a local junk yard the may have a few of those in there and there always pretty reasonable on pricing also,i do a lot of business at some of ours especially on small stuff like that ,but that would be the best and cheapest place to look at,good luck hope this helps.

Q: What to look for when buying a used Celica?
I am looking to buy a 2003 toyota celica gt 5 speed with 97,000 miles on it and I was wondering what i should check for before i buy it. like common problems and such.

A: Same as every other car. Make sure its been properly cared for. Look for accident damage. Worn parts.

Q: Where can i find a great used Toyota Celia in the state of NY near Syracuse?
I am looking for a toyota celica in the state of NY near the city of Syracuse…Does anyone know where i can look to find one?

A: http://www.autotrader.com/

Q: 2002 Toyota Celica lifespan?
I was planning on buying a used Toyota Celica. Just wondering if 114,000 miles on a Toyota Celica is too much.
When do these cars tend to die?

Thanks in advance

A: Yes that is waaaay too much. Most need to be rebuilt or at least have a valve job by 150,000 miles.

Q: Hi I am thinking of buying a used car. And I have got Toyota Celica on my list. What do you think?

A: i had a… 94 celica gt. it was nice looking at the time, very economical. involved in 2 major collissions and still kept ticking. never doubted its reliability. only problems i had was clutch burning out twice on it…but thats what i get for driving drunk and thinking im driving in nascar. so overall, celica is a nice cheaper sports car. the newer models are cool looking too, small backseats though.

Q: What type of AC refridgerant does a 1994 Toyota Celica use?

A: Just buy a can at the auto parts store. You can only get the new stuff. Get the can with the short hose. It will only connect to the one proper fitting on the car. If it doesn’t you need to retrofit. Ask the parts store guy. You just change the fitting. Add new refrigerant, and put a decal under the hood. You are supposed to have the old freon recycled but if your A/C isn’t blowing cool air then it has already leaked out anyway. Get a can of stop leak too.

Q: Toyota Celica in Orlando?
I’m looking for a used Toyota Celica in Orlando. I’ve check autotrader.com and cars.com and can’t find one that I want, or that’s in my price range. Can you think of anywhere else I could check?

A: Look on msn.com in the auto section too. Autotrader is the best source out there though. If you can’t find what your’e looking for on autotrader, Most likely its not avaliable. Carmax is also an option

Q: Toyota Celica?
im thinking of buying a used toyota celica GTS 2003 stickshift it has 50,000 miles on it and its 15,500 well the question is it a good deal Price and Also performance wise compared to other cars like a Civic or An Eclipse

A: 15,500 is a little high. Take a look at www.newcelica.org and check in the “car for sale” classifieds and check out www.celicatraderonline.com……..and check Ebay, you can find great deals on Ebay and they provide up to $20,000 in fraud protection.

As far as performace goes you’ll have a hard time finding a car that handles and brakes better than a Celica for the same price. Plus the GTS engine is one the most efficient engines around, gets 180HP out of a 1.8L engine! You’ll be quicker than any stock Civic and should be quicker than the N/A eclipse……don’t buy a 3rd generation eclipse, those cars are very unreliable.

BTW, I have a 2004 Celica GT with 51,000 miles for sale for $12,000 if your interested

Q: Is it worth trading in a 2005 Toyota Celica GT for 2004-2005 used Subaru STI?
A pros-cons list woule help too.
and maybe an estimate on how much more i would have to spend.
Thanks

A: your gas milage will be worse. and make sure you see a carfax on that. i seriously doubt your going to find a used sti that hasnt been beaten on pretty hard. youd be lucky if its even stock. anyway, if the sti is in good condition id say go for it, but the only other thing is that it wont last as long as the celica will. turbo engines dont last as long as n/a.

Q: New Nissan GT-R?
What do you think of the new Nissan GT-R…all opinions welcome

A: Great car hated it when it first came out as iam not a fan of the newer future look on all models of car atm.
But i said this on many cars when they come out over the years, but it has grown on me,its doesnt have the same looks as GTR’s in the past but iam sure it will earn new respect.
What do you think of it ?

Q: What are your thoughts on the new Nissan GT-R?

A: first of all, to the guy that said this car won’t get you babes, i’ve already heard that once before from someone telling me that if i want to get girls to get a Z06 because the nissan won’t…WHO CARES…if you’re relying on a car to get girls, then you are a loser…i don’t want a GTR to get girls, i want a GTR to have a legendary vehicle and something exciting to drive every day…this car was a legend before it even began production…

my thoughts on this car is that for a first run, it’s doing quite well…it’s NOT underpowered, and the only reason it’s over priced is because of the dealer markup…going off the MSRP of $69k, it’s not overpriced at all…it weighs more than the Z06, and has performance that either matches or beats it stock for stock…it turned a 7:38 around the ring and look at the other vehicles around that laptime…and if anyone says to wait to see the ZR1 vette, well, yeah, ok that thing is gonna cost $100+k, and it’s guaranteed that the dealers will mark that up alot as well…

the GTR was not made to be beautiful or insanely fast…it was made to be functional, able to be driven however anyone wants to drive it, and it was made to beat the 911 Turbo at that time…whatever else it beats is just a gimmie…

i want one, and i don’t care what all the haters say

Q: how much does the new nissan GT-R get in gas mileage per gallon?

A: The 2010 Nissan GT-R Coupe 2WD gets 16 mpg city / 21 mpg highway according to AutoSite.com research.

Q: DO you like the new nissan GT-R?
I would like to hear your guys opinion about the new Nissan GTR.
The interior, exterior, price, performance and the brand image.

Do you think Nissan can overcome its brand image and sell GTR to American car lovers and Porsche lovers?

A: Not for the rumored $80,000. I don’t care how fast or how well it handles. I’ll laugh at anyone paying this kind of money for a Nissan.

Q: Is the gorgeous new Nissan GT-R a limited production car?
By this i mean, will they only produce them for a short period of time? DAMN!!! That car is HOT!!

A: Unfortunately yes. It IS a limited production car and is available on a first come first served basis as per GT-R’s website.

http://www.gtrnissan.com/buying.en.us.html

But I fully agree with you my friend, the car is HOT.

Q: How much is it for a new Nissan Skyline GT-R?
i saw price for one from 1999 online and the price was 90K

A: still sell new skylines over here a v35 skyline nearly ran into my r32 the other day but gave them a friendly wave.
Prices vary here depends on the spec. But alot of people selling cheap ones but false cars.
Plenty of import companies but depends on the law where you are.
Not to dear to buy here just insurance have to be careful of.
www.skylineowners.com 2 million views per week want any skyline advice the place to go for free advice from all over the world.

Q: can i make my nissan maxima sound like the new GT-R nissan skyline?

A: you possibly can…just ned to find the right exhuast system…

a 350z is a 4-banger????…..its a v6 w/ the vq just like the maxima and altima v6s…..

Q: did Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson test the new Nissan GT-R?
i keep checking for the video on youtube but havent found any. I know Fifth Gear did the test but their video is so boring. Im looking foward for Jeremy Clarkson’s review

A: As said the new GT-R hasn’t been tested on topgear TV format yet although i did read a while ago there was abit about it in the Topgear Magazine although this may not have been a review by Clarkson.
I did also hear, which i can imagine is true that it will feature in the new series,

I really must keep links to this info.

Fifth gear is alright but its the Clarkson way that makes any review great.

I do know that the G35 couple is ’sold’ as a ‘Skyline’ in Japan, but it is not, nearly as capable as the LEGENDARY R34, and so forth… I believe that’s why Nissan is marketing this as the GT-R, and not as the Skyline (maybe here in the U.S.) because they already have one in Japan (Infiniti G35 (now the G37))

A: Not sure of it yet but iam sure it will deff grow on me,i said the same thing about the R33 when it came out and now have one.

 http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/video.php?illustration=259

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t161/skyline1966/Image003.jpg
I think the price is right i was told around 70k
And yes the g35 is the Skyline also.
Sarah
Good luck on your R34 great cars.,trying to get the wife to like them as we have had the r32 and the r33 but she wants an evo next.

Q: Is the new Nissan Skyline GT-R going to be legal in the U.S?
pretty self explanitory

A: Yes it is already legal in the U.S., last time I checked there were well over 600 already delivered to customers here in the states (but that was about two months ago).

Please do not listen to John Paul, he spreads false information on anything that is not related to mechanics. The only thing right about what he said is that the Skyline name was dropped. The reason the Skyline name was dropped was because the GT-R is not just an upgraded Skyline anymore (which is our G37 here in the states), it has it’s own platform and engine so they simply just call it the GT-R now. “imchrisiskate” said it correctly – GT-R DOES have a hyphen, if you don’t believe me John Paul then why don’t you look in an owner’s manual next time you service one or better yet it says so right on Nissan’s website.

Q: Who else wants to tell Nissan where to put there new GT-R?
After hearing US dealers will gouge the everloving life out of their customers on the new GT-R just because they can.

Well Chevy did the same with the Z06 when it came out and I won’t step foot in their showrooms despite having a product that drew me in for the first time in 20 years. Now they have Z06’s pilling up discounted 10% below MSRP.

Nissan, welcome to that same club. 2-3 years from now you will be in the same boat once the next great thing comes along. You haven’t made a compelling product in years but all the sudden your willing to turn people completely off from your brand to clean up on a realitively low production model?

A: What are you guys getting the new GT-R for in the US .

There are plenty being imported and bought here in the UK.So they must be selling.

Iam not sure of what you are going to be paying and a new v spec model is due out soon,so what price that will be going for also iam not sure.

But as a car overall all i have heard from my friends in Japan is what a great car it is and spec and money wise is well worth the price its selling for in the place i know off.
And it sounds like yes you could buy a corvette etc but its the idea of having something different i believe is what alot of US folks are saying. And speed wise isnt meant to be the fastest but one thing Nissan are good at is making tuneable engines.

Q: which would be faster the 2009 Nissan Gt-r or the new 2009 Corvette?

A: I own a shop, a drag car & truck, and this is what I think; You must be talking about the old Corvette because the new one is called a ZR-1. I have doubts the Nissan will hold a light to the new Corvette. 620 horses, and a much lighter body than the older ZO-6 Corvettes equals one mean machine. One can’t put this new Corvette in the same class as the ZO-6. The ZO-6 might have a hard time out performing the Nissan, but the new & improved Corvette is strictly a muscle car in every aspect, and was designed as an answer to all the cars such as the Nissan. It would be easy to turn the wick up on the supercharger in the new Corvette, and make in excess of 800 horsepower with a minimum of work, or parts for that matter. The outcome is still out on this race, but my money is on the Corvette. Power to weight ratio is much better on the Corvette due to the carbon fiber parts on it, so I don’t think the Nissan will stay with it without many modifications, and then it still might not. Point A to point B, or a road race either one, the Corvette should stand alone this time.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Q: 2009 Nissan GT-R is a hot new car but answer this car fanatics…?
does it break down like the 350z? the 350z may have a popular figure on its hands but it has been passed around that simple interior parts and what not are cheap and tend to break or not last long. is that the same with the GT-R?

A: well it all depends upon how the owner maintains his car.

Q: Nissan GT-R, thumbs up or down?
So this new Nissan GT-R does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Supposed to be faster than Porsches, Corvettes and Vipers. But it’s priced at $70,000. Will you really spend that much for a Nissan? Will it be a hit in the United States? Personally, I’d rather be in a slower Porsche, Corvette or Viper. Those cars have that reputation for being fast. This Nissan GT-R looks like a newer version of the 350z. It doesn’t have that sex appeal like those super cars. You look at a Viper or Corvette and you know it’s fast. Porsche also has that reputation. But if I see a GT-R, I would probably just say “wow that’s car is fast…” then I’d move on. If I see a Viper, I’d say “HOLY SHIT, THAT CAR IS FAST!!!” It’s that super car sex appeal. GT-Rs aren’t sexy and I wouldn’t spend $70,000 for a Nissan. How about you…
It’s not about hating it’s about it being a Nissan. You can buy a Corvette, Viper or Porsche for $70,000. Why would I want to spend it on a NIssan. I know the whole “Skyline GT-R” history and it wasn’t big in the US. I personally think the GT-R is going to fail in the United States. Even now, what do you see more of, $42,000 EVOs and STIs or $42,000 BMWs and Mercedes. You can buy a BMW just as fast as an EVO for the same price, so why buy the EVO? You have luxury and class with BMW. I think this GT-R is gonna be a failure in the US.

A: AMEN

no way, no how is Nissan gonna get 70K for an unsexy bullet.

maybe in japan. not in my hood.

Q: Doesn’t the new Scion TC look like the nissan gt-r?….?
on the new commercial of this year’s scion tc,it really looks like they stole some designs from the gt-r,don’t you think?thanks and GOD BLESS YOU!

A: It sure looks like it to me,.

Looking for a New porsche 911? Try the automotive resource GlamCar.com

Q: How much does a Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo cost?
I am panning to buy a brand new 911 Carrera Turbo. what would be it exact cost excluding the tax and costoms

A: The 2007 911 Turbo will cost $122,900 US.

Q: I want to purchase a new Porsche Roadster?
I want a new convertible 911. What kind of FICO score do I need in order to be able to finance a car like this?

A: Your FICO will depend on your income and previous credit. Without knowing how much you are going to be spending I cannot even come close to knowing the score that you would need. Talk to the people at AAA, That’s the Auto Club. This is just about the best money you can ever spend. No more going to the DMV and free maps, travel assistance, good insurance and… discounted fleet prices for new cars. They will help you out with your questions and have current info that is not just guess work.
Remember, When you buy a new car you take and immediate large dollar hit. Think used and you can get a great deal and save yourself a lot of money. AAA will actually help with financing on used cars so you can go that way. I haven’t bought a new car for years. But… I buy a new car for me every year for my birthday. If you purchase used at the right price you can sell it for the same money or better the next year and find something new to play with. Good Luck

Q: Do all new 911 models really come with bi-xenon lights as standard?
On Porsche’s web special for the new 911 and a few other places it emphasizes that every new 911 model comes equipped with bi-xenon headlamps as standard. However, on the regular site, if you look at the technical specifications for the base Carrera, it states that it only comes with H7 halogen projectors. Can anyone clear this up?

A: Strange contradiction. I would believe the long winded version an say the standard 2009 has HID’s and that the reference to the H7’s is old data that was not updated.

Q: Which one CATCH your eyes more? porsche 911 without modification or new honda accord full modifications?

A: 911 every time…911 is pure performance and class…honda is punk tuner boy rice burner…when you go to sell you will get a lot more for stock than a modified car…with a mod car you have to find someone who likes what you did..not easy …everyone has there own ideas on what looks great…everyone agrees porsche is awesome! and porsche resale value is much much higher than honda…

Q: Which sports car do u prefer the new Mercedes SL or the Porsche 911 Turbo?

A: Well, it was always like: Porsches are more fun to drive. Mercedes are more classy and luxurious. Yes, yes, until….the SL65 AMG!!!

Let’s assume that money is no object, there is no doubt that if you exclude from the equation the Porsche Carrera GT, among all other Porsches and Mercedes, the best car today is the SL65. Just go online on any search engine and type SL65, and read the reviews. Twin turbo. Mind blowing power: 604 horses. Over 740 lbs of torque. Aggressive lines. Class, technology, grip. It’s a shame that you need approx $ 190,000 to get one, otherwise it would be already in my driveway. Oh well….

The SL65 came out last year and it has since been the topic of conversation at jet-set dinner tables in Palm Beach, the Hamptons and Beverly Hills (and lucky valet attendants!).

I tend to agree, Porsches are more fun, but how can you give up 604 plush horses that simply overshadow the 911 (480 hp for the new 2007 version) ????

Q: Which sports car do u prefer the new Mercedes SL or the Porsche 911 Turbo? and why?

A: Mercedes SL, but I do like the Porsche 911 Turbo. There’s just something about that Mercedes that I love! It just looks so nice and is very fast! So I guess I think the Mercedes looks better but the Porsche is probably faster.

Q: how much will a porsche 911 GT3 cost?
ok, so im really obsessed with a yellow porsche 911 GT3 right now and im just wondering how much a NEW, NOT PREOWNED porsche 911 GT3 is? (in australian $) i know they are really expansive so dont answer if your going to be stupid and waste my time. thank you!!! xo
also… im only 13 so dont judge me and dont be like… too smart and stuff lol thanx

A: This is the kind of thing you can find on Google… takes longer to put the question in here than it does to search! Nonetheless, since you’re somehow unwilling, I took the 15 seconds to Google up current sticker prices in Australia: a 2010 GT3 has a base price of $279k.

Q: New Porsche Cayman S or used 911? Which would you buy?

A: Owning a 911;it is the best experience. It is nowhere near comparable to a Cayman S. The thing is that, the Cayman S could have been so much more, but because had to fill the gap between the Boxster and the 911, they had to limit its potential in fear of the Cayman S being better than the 911. For Porsche that was the worst case scenario; to have their longest running and most sucessful model be outclassed by a cheaper car. As funny as that is, Porsche sells more Cayenne SUV’s than 911’s per year. The 911 provides more comfort, style and appeal than the Cayman which, to some, can be a bit of a toss up from the rear end. I own a 997 Carrera S in Guards Red and it’s hands down my favorite daily driver.

If you’re going to consider a used 911, go for a Carrera S or a C4S id you can. It has the Turbo front end and the full extended rear, red reflector.

Q: Which to buy: Newer Porsche Boxter, or Older 911 Carrera?
With the finances I have, I’m looking into buying a used Porsche… Considering depreciation, repairs, etc- I’m considering either a 2003-2004 Boxter, or a 1999 911 Carrera. Both are within a couple thousand dollars of each other, the 911 has about 25,000 more miles. Both have about the same options. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A: I own both cars – a 2003 Boxster and a 2001 911 (996). The key to owning a Porsche is to buy something that fits your budget. Budget means price of the car and cost of ownership. The Boxster will cost less to maintain, to insure and repair costs will be less (due to being a newer car with lower mileage and probably not pushed like a 911). Keep in mind that a simple 15,000 mile service at Porsche is about $720. You can find a good independent shop that will do the job for $250. The next service (30,000 miles) is painfully expensive $2,500 at Porsche and $800-$1,200 at an independent shop. If you get 18″ wheels, the rear tires are 265/35/18 ($300-350 each – tire shops are going to push Porsche N spec tires – they don’t want to get sued for selling regular Z rated tires). Fronts are better at $250 ish, again Porsche N spec tires.

The 1999 911 Carrera is a wonderful car. Great handling, steering, power and also a comfortable car to drive … did I mention power! If you get the 911, make sure its a stick shift. Automatics are very difficult to resell. When you get the feel of the 911, you can drive the car at crazy speeds (tops out near 180). The car rips through corners (you need to keep the throttle down – the weight stays back, which keeps the tires pushed down). If you live in an area with lots of rain/snow, keep the 911 in the garage. The 911 is very rear biased (weight) and the tail gets loose easliy. PSM (stability control) does help, but when you hit a corner hard and the tires give, you’ll find it very hard to correct and if you throttle lift, you’re in a lot of trouble.

The Boxster is also a wonderful car. It is an incredibly well balanced car, great road feel and steering feedback, has good power and is very comfortable to drive. Trunk space is pretty good, since you have a nice deep front compartment and an ok size rear compartment. You only have two seats though, where the 911 has four (the rears are pretty worthless). Interior is also updated on the Boxster – newer steering wheel, stereo, has a glove box (911 doesn’t) and feels newer inside. You do lose two gauges on the Boxster, compared to the 911 and the digital speedometer readout is not directly in the center of the dash, like the 911. You get the bonus of a power convertible top. The chassis is rock solid with no cowl shake (the 911 chassis is more solid, but you’re comparing a coupe to a convertible). The downfall about a convertible is road noise (even with the top up) and security/vandalism is an issue. The Boxster handles better than the 911 (I’ve taken corners at speed and the Boxster doesn’t get loose). Boxsters top out at 150+, so for most, this is plenty.

Here’s a simple summary: If you’ve never owned a rear/mid engine Porsche, buy the Boxster. You’re going to give up a little speed/power, but you’ll enjoy lower maintenance costs. The Boxster is easier to drive, has the additional fun factor of a convertible and the car gets looks (I turn more heads in the Boxster vs the 911). If you’ve owned a rear/mid engine Porsche and feel comfortable with the rear weight bias, then go for the 911. You know what a car feels like when the back gets squirmy and you know not to throttle lift when things get hairy. As you near traction limits, you will be working the 911, while the Boxster just goes smoothly through.

One final note. If you get the Boxster, you can always move up to a 911 later (after you get the feel of Porsche and the dynamics of the car). If you get the 911 and its too much car, you won’t get the enjoyment you paid for.

Good luck and I wish you many years of enjoyment driving your new Porsche!

Q: What do Ceramic Brake Discs Actually do on a Porsche (exept be bright Yellow)?
My dads currently got a Audi RS4 but is thinking of getting a new Porsche 997 911 Turbo. He was running through the option list and he, nor I, knew what the Ceramic Brake Discs. They are a £5,000/£6,00 option and wasnt going to fork out that sort of money untill he really knew what they are. There supposed to be “Fade Free” Is this True? If anyone knows anything about them in great detail please write back
P.S He has spoken to a Dealer about them

A: Carbon ceramic brakes do have a number of advantages. First is weight. Theyre about half the weight of steel rotors, which is a huge difference in both unsprung and rotating mass.

They also are fade free. That being said, In my 996 GT2 with hoosiers (racing tires), I recently switched to steel rotors (the PCCB ones were dieing on me, and theyre hideously expensive), and I have yet to get any fade. The fade issue would only come into play in rather long races with very hard braking.

They also do wear extremely well, but the cost of running them is still far more than steel brakes. instead of an 8 thousand dollar set of ceramic rotors, I bought some performance friction (awesome brakes) rotors for about 350 bucks a piece.

The last upside to the ceramics is the awesomely linear pedal feel. In hard braking its just totally linear stopping power. Steel rotors you usually have to do a hard initial stomp to generate more heat, then slowly let off a bit to get maximum braking.

If youre not doing significant track use, dont even bother with them. If you are, Im still not sure I would. Theyre awesome, just not 8 grand a set awesome.

And tell him to consider a 996 GT2. Much more raw/awesome car. its like the turbo’s twisted, insane cousin.

Q: I am 23, Should i get a porsche 911 as my weekend fun car?
http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/porsche-911-pictures-cars281998294;_ylt=Aqf8u0cFr6Hi1XjH2Gu8mPThb454;_ylv=3?sortcol=price&sortdir=up&start=16&askpriceub=any&askpricelb=any&deliverymileageub=any&deliverymileagelb=any&location=San+Diego%2C+CA+92103&listingtype=used&model=911&make=porsche&distance=200&picstart=1

i am thinking of getting this porsche 911.. its cheap and even a lil old it still look like a new porsche anyway. I will probably just drive it for going out on date or with friends, or going out to countryside for fun over the weekend.

A: Answer is,,,, YES ….

If you have the Coin…
And can put out the full coverage insurance for a Weekend cruiser

Go for it.

What do you drive Day to Day ?
This being a 99 model with that many miles would be a better everyday driver and weekend cruiser…

Cars like this one are meant to be driven, not sittin all week so remember to keep the battery charged if you miss one weekend.

Remember the Tune-Up is due at 60,000 miles and replace the fuel filter every 20000 miles on that model.

Drive Drive Drive …. You only live once.

Q: Where do you rent a classic Porsche 911?
We (my family) wanted to rent a 1960’s-1989 style Porsche 911 for my dad for his birthday. Every rent place i find only has new Porsche’s, which isnt exactly a bad thing but im wondering if there is a place that anyone happens to know if that rents out an older one, or where to look for one. I cant find much on the internet

My location is tristate area PA,Delaware, Maryland intersection.

Thanks for any help

A: This is a tough one. CALL the places that rent new cars and ask. You might need to do a lot of web surfing to find what you want. You may need to put a big security deposit down on such a rental, if you can even find a car. Best of luck! I’m sure your dad will appreciate it. And I’m betting he’ll appreciate a new one too.

Try searching for “classic car rentals,” if you haven’t already. Here’s one:

http://www.forbestraveler.com/luxury/classic-car-rentals-story.html

Q: Could you put an air cooled porsche 911 engine in a 944?
I am thinking of a newer model 911 circa ‘02 to ‘06 engine into a 1989 944?

A: You could do it, certainly. I am helping a buddy put a 351 windsor into a 65 Comet. I did help a fella put a 327 Chevy into a Vega, also put a 1956 Ford Caterpillar Backhoe motor into a 1985 Ranger.
If any ask you why, just nod like you are agreeing with them, scratch your head and walk away happy in the fact that you accomplished something.

Q: What do you think of he brand new Porsche GT2 RS?
So … finally, we have the new ZR1 and Viper-killer Porsche GT2. But … it’s still using the smaller 3.6 litre engine, while the also brand new 911 Turbo S has gone to the 3.8 litre that’s been standard for years in the Carrera S and 4S.

The new (all wheel drive) Turbo S version of this engine turns out 530 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. What do you think the GT2 RS does with it? The Turbo S weighs almost 3,500 pounds. What do you think the GT2 RS weighs?

You still get the GT2 RS with a Porsche six speed manual transmission, while the Turbo S comes only with the seven speed PDK auto. What else do you think 4.96 pounds/HP will kill? Keep in mind that all Porsches do better on a road course where their superior suspensions, brakes, and lower centers of gravity give them inherent advantages over all the competition.
The new Porsches have over 500 lb-ft of torque, for my auto enthusiast friends so quick to Comment that they don’t read. See it already in the Question?

The new Porsche Turbo S (just their top end sports car) beats both the the 600 HP 8.4 litre Dodge Viper and the 638 HP Chevrolet ZR1 Corvette in both 0 to 60 mph and 1/4 mile times. Part of this comes from putting all of that torque (and power) to the road through all four wheels.

A: Sounds pretty amazing from a quick look at the specs. The supposed specs are 620hp and just over 3000# (and supposedly 7:18 around Nordschleife). As for the choice of the 3.6L, it’s possible this has been in development longer than the Turbo S, or more likely that the 3.6L is simply more developed (may also be simple marketing to allow for a bump up in a couple years to help further recoup development costs). As for the transmission choice, this is inline with all of their GT offerings, and backs up the fact that the PDK, while promising, is still not quite 100% in terms of fully balancing drivability and performance.

Now, to Copenhagen ring’s answer, which seems pretty unrealistic:

>Honestly I think they’re worthless pieces of ****.
No problem, to each their own (though it begs the question… how many have you driven and/or owned to come to that conclusion?).

>…you probably have no clue what either one of those cars are but you’ll figure it out eventually…
Of course, because people that like and/own European cars have zero knowledge of American cars?

>…that will fry the porsche in the 1/4 and in a road course for 1/4 the cost of you’re porsche.
Let’s just be clear? You think you can build a ‘69 Fury that will go around the Nurburgring in 7:18? Ok, it may just be possible… but what I want to know is how you plan to do that since part of the process will involve fabricating a new lightweight unibody with adequate torsional rigidity to handle the suspension capable of that kind of time (as well as designing, fabricating, and fitting the suspension… along with testing time to fine tune the pick up points)… and you are doing this all for the 1/4 the cost of the Porsche? Really, if you can do all this so easily and cheaply you should be working for an F1 team – they would pay millions for such quick and efficient work! You don’t really seem to have a concept of just how fast any modern Porsche is around a road course, let alone how fast the GT2 RS is reported to be.

>I might get a whopping 7 miles to the gallon after I’m through with the motor…
I’m starting to get the impression you don’t spend alot of time at road courses? I barely get 7mpg at the track with an engine that would get 25-30mpg on the street.

>…4.96lb/horse doesn’t mean anything <blah blah blah, torque>…
Not quite. While torque is important as far as moving weight, the Porsche is only about 3000#. What you might mean is that an engine that produces lots of torque will tend to make more power lower in the rev range… however this isn’t really important in racing where cars are not that heavy, and engines are normally operating in the upper part of their rev range anyways. However, the turbo Porsche DO produce quite a bit of torque… if anything, they are already bordering on too much to be effective in very tight corners (interested to hear how you intend to effetively put the power down with so much more than that).

>anybody can go out and drop a lot of money and buy a car that’s going to perform.
Sure, anyone… given the time, money, and knowledge. In this case that “anyone” would be the engineers at Porsche. The car will perform, and the fact is, it will perform much better than anything you can build across a wide range. Yes, you could build a car that will be quicker in a drag for less, or one that is quicker around a road course… but you could not build one for less that would do both, be street legal, and still offer things like A/C, heater, etc.

If you think it’s over priced… it’s not an inexpensive vehicle. It will be worth it to some, not for others, and likewise unaffordable for many. However, ranting on and acting as if you are an authority on things you clearly have limited knowledge of reflects more on you than on what you are ranting about. For the record the Fury is a cool car (The Charger too!)… and a very good drag racing platform; but it would be a pretty major challenge to engineer a solution for one that would allow it to even come close to an older 2.5L Boxster around a road course, let alone be on par with the GT2RS.

Q: Okay I am about to buy a 1969 porsche 912 I would like to change the engine will the new 911 engines work?
If not what is the highest year also if you have any sights where I could find new stuff for it like light weight wheels carbon fiber euro headlights ect as in racing stuff?
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah god cant i get a strait awnser like this is the engine for you i mean:P gosh you all are so rude and the ass holes that say i donno so the can get points this was made for helping people i didnt say judge me or give me a price quote i asked a few simple questions does anybody have strait awnser???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

A: WOW.
I dont know anymore, but there is alot of VW web sites.
Porche is a VW afterall.

Looking for a New BMW M3? Try the automotive resource GlamCar.com

Q: Has anyone seen the new BMW M3?
This thing is bad! It has all these amazing features one of which is computerized custom driving settings. Press a button and you go from street car to racer!!! It is amazing! The best setting is the one that locks the rear axel in a turn, causing a fish tail, therefore helping to control the understeer/oversteer issue that such high-powered cars carry. Just wondering if anyone else knows about this beast-of-a-Beamer…because IT’S AWESOME!

A: yep. i’ve driven the coupe. (e92)

but personally i would buy the 4 door. (e90 FTW!)

in alpine white of course.

and the coupe M3 is faster than the RS4 by the way.

Q: Hey, should i buy the new bmw m3 v8 or a second hand Aston Martin Vantage V8?

A: BUY THE BMW………

Q: Is it affordable for a 25+ man earning 45k per year to own a brand new BMW M3 or Camaro SS? (Canada)?
(btw with no family of his own to take care)

A: A new M3 is around $75,000. After putting $15,000 down (around 20%), your monthly payment would be around $900 per month for 6 years.

A new Camaro SS is less than $35,000. After putting $5,000 down, your monthly payment would be around $500 per month for 5 years.

If the question is only between these two cars, then I’d suggest getting the Camaro.

However, if you really like Bimmers, consider getting a used BMW 335i instead of the M3. The 335i has almost all of the great stuff as the M3, except for the V8 engine.

Buying any car in the $60K-$80K price range may have to wait until your income grows.

Q: could i order a brand new bmw m3 e30?
like this guy?

http://www.motoring.co.za/index.php?from=rss_Motoring&fArticleId=5566025

well, ok, not exactly like this guy (he got a BMW 3.0 CSi) but the idea would be the same…

i guess many out there would just love the opportunity to buy a brand new classic bmw like myself…

A: no, you can’t. try actually reading the article next time. it was just a restoration, it is not brand new, it’s still almost 40 years old. that guy bought an old 3.0 and had BMW restore it professionally. it’s not brand new, it’s just rebuilt.

in all actuality, it would cost twice as much for BMW to restore and E30 M3 than just finding one in good shape.

Q: Why can the new BMW m3 rev so high?
It can rev to like 8400rpm with a v8 engine. WOW!!

A: Its built for it. It uses light weight components, built with very tight tolerances and balancing, and has a short stroke. The light weight parts and tolerances/balancing are the reason the engine costs so much too.

Q: Nearly new BMW M3 E46 anywhere?
In my opinion, the E46 was the best M3 ever so far.. I can’t afford to buy one now or any time soon but I want to get on in 3-4 years.. Do you think it will be possible for me to find a near-new one in the future?? (Less than 10,000 miles.. lower the better)

If so, where should I find one at? I coulnd’t find any on search engines..

Thanks guys

A: To find a secondhand BMW in the best possible condition check the BMW Club’s classifieds. Both the national site at www.bmwcca.org and the site for your local chapter (there are links on the national site to the local chapters).

Those cars are typically enthusiast-maintained in great condition, and priced accordingly. It’ll be your best bet to either find a garage queen, which you want, or a lovingly pampered car with higher miles, which would still be a great car.

Q: is the mercedes cl55 amg faster than the new bmw m3?

A: get the amg black series

Q: When is the New BMW M3 comming out?

A: The official US launch date for the 2008 M3 sedan and coupe is March 8, 2008. Both models started production in December 2007.

The M3 convertible launch date is May 24, 2008.

The first shipment of M3s has already arrived in the Port at New Jersey. Unfortunately many of them were damaged in a shipping accident. This is going to delay some orders as well as the demo fleet.

Q: which oen do you like better the new bmw m3 or bmw 650i?

A: the new E92 M3 is an astounding car in every imaginable way, I honestly dont have words for that car, on the other hand the 650i is a good car aswell but that is more of a status car like the Mercedes Benz Cl, the Bentley Continental GT and the Aston Martin DB9, so it really comes down to your personal choices, what you want a car for and how are you going to be using it, both cars are good daily driver, the BMW M3 would do a tiny bit better on the Fuel economy, both cars are close in a straight line (the M3 will hit 60 mph in about 4.6 seconds where as the 650i in about 4.8 – 5 seconds and both are electronically limited at 155 mph) but on a track the M3 has the advantage over the 650i as the M3 is lighter, the weight distribution is nearly 50/50 which means the car is very well balanced where as the 650i is a huge car and it weigh’s nearly 1800 kilograms thats nearly 250 kilograms more then the M3, when it comes to looks both looks equally eye catching and stunning ohh and lastly the M3 sounds better then the 650i aswell.

hope this helps.

Q: Which one is better the new bmw m3 or bmw 650i?

A: Hands down the e92 m3 will beat the 650i in anything. its no competition, the 650i was not built to be a performance car as the m3 is. the new m3 is equipped with DCT transmission for the automatic. This transmission shifts faster than anyone possibly can. Basically it has two clutches, and has one gear ready to shift on one clutch and another on the other clutch so its always ready to shift. im not sure about the 650i but im pretty sure it doesnt. (dct is automatic transmission)
the new m3 will be lighter and will definitely handle better.
new m3 has a carbon fiber roof, while the 650i does not however the m6 does. Performance wise the m3 is a better car in ever aspect.
if youre looking for comfort or status the 650i will get the job done better, the 6series just looks very exclusive.
if it were up to me, id get the new m3, mostly cause im only 18. if i were 30+ id get the 650i cause it would seem to be a better bang for the buck.
if you really think about it, its absurd, the new m3 coupe is starting at 57k with options itll probably be close to 70k, the sedan is a little bit cheaper. Why would you pay 65-70k for a 3series?
however there will be a premium on the new m3 when it comes out, a lot of people will be looking for that car, however in a couple years, it will turn out to be a car that rich spoiled kids get as their first cars and the 6series will still be a car that is looked upon as someone that is successful.
buy your kids the m3 and you drive the 650i, youll look like a baller for sure.

Q: brand new BMW M3 vs M5? ?
brand new 2008 M3 Coupe vs 2008 M5… which one would u prefer to get?

A: M5! its bigger so its more practical…tons of power! 500HP and you can go from 400 to 500 hp with a button! the m mode (with m button on steering wheel) is like a sport mode but i can make the car turn hard core..just press it to pass someone on the highway

the m5 has the same power and performance as a ferrari f430 but it costs half the price

the m3 is common…i’ve seen alot already..

get the m5…u will absolutely LOVE IT

Q: bmw m3 needs new engine wiring loom and ecu have a 2nd hand 1 wen fited will it work or need programing?
engine loom caught fire so when i fit everything will the car run or will the ecu have to be reprogramed even tho its from the same make and model bmw e36 m3

A: This is a tricky question. The 2nd hand wire loom and ECU from the same model is obviously going to wire in the same. It is questionable whether the ECU will perform correctly when all entities have been connected however.

Even though it came from the same type of vehicle it carries some very specific data about the vehicle it was in. It’s hard to give an accurate answer without knowing the year of the vehicle but chances are high that it will fail without being programmed or “reset” by a BMW tech.

Many of the newer ECU modules in a BMW are embedded with a physical hardware address (much like a MAC address on a personal computer), this address much match up with other components in the vehicle or the ECU will refuse to work.

In this situation I would go ahead and replace the entire loom and install the new ECU. Once it is completely installed give in to the urge to start it and see what happens…you might get lucky. If you notice any strange behavior it will have to be serviced by a BMW tech. BMW’s were never intended to be worked on by non-certified techs….they’re now actually engineered to prevent this!

Hope this helps!

Q: Which color is best suited for 2008 BMW M3?
I am trying to order a brand new BMW M3. However, I can’t decide which color I should get. Please tell me your opinion.
1. Alpine White body with Red Leather Seat
2. Interlagos Blue body with Red Leather Seat
3. Metallic Black body with Red Leather Seat
4. Red body with Black leather seat

any suggestion?

A: I love the Interlagos Blue, but dont know how it would look with red. I would go with Interlagos Blue, and Black leather seats. Also, Red with Red leather seats would look awsome.

From your list, I would go with Black body with Red Leather Seats or the Red body with Black leather seats. (These two combo’s look sportier)

For a sophisticated look, go with the Apline White/Red Leather

Q: Poll: BMW M3 2001-2006 or the new BMW 335 2007-current?
BMW M3 (2001-2006) or the new BMW 335 (2007-current)?

Which one would you rather pick?

A: I pick this one
http://www.digitalcarwallpapers.com/wallpapers/bmw_m3_001_1024.jpg

the new one looks to heavy.

Q: Buying a New BMW M3 (e92) from Saudi Arabia…Good Idea?
If been getting that chain mail lately ( “Kha’looha tes’adi”), all of those cars that werent purchased, over 4000 from BMW only I think. Is it a good time to buy now (Have the prices dropped dramastically yet? lower than it was bought for from the dealer?)?

Do you think the Dealerships will eventually have to dump them by selling them for extremely cheap (compared to the US and Canada)?

Thanks!
@ Alnawwar: Yeah its such a nice car, but Im going for the coupe Yes, Im a bad boy jks I like the coupe better. Dont have any kids yet so what the hay!

and what do you mean by “the heat will get the best of it” doesnt sound good :s can you elaborate on that?

A: as the people before me explained ,, the prices didn’t drop .

the M3 is a nice car ( good allrounder ) but you have to remember that you are in Saudi ,,, the heat will get the best of the car

i advise you to look up other options that would at least keep up with the heat we’re having ( eg. all lexus models + infinity ..etc )

update:

it means that the car would have some problems with it’s temprature ( especially if u gonna hammer it down alot )
a bmw is not a car that you want to own for more then a year in Saudi

Q: how much would a new toyota supra engine cost?
i want to buy a 1985 toyota supra but i want to put a new engine in it, would putting a new engine in a old car be good or bad?

A: it would be good, as the engine is probably not 100%

Q: I am getting a Toyota Supra and io was wondering, what is the best exhaust system and cold air intake to get?
Ok, so… i am getting a 1993, 1994, or a 1995 Toyota Supra. I saved up for about 4 years straight… this is my first car. Anyways, i definitely want to get an cat-back exhaust system and a cold air intake. Which brand should i get? Also, if you know of a good model…list that to. leave a link for a website that has them please.

Thanks, Jonathan

A: check out these sites
HKSUSA.com
greddy.com
wotmstore.com
titanmotorsports.com

Q: How much faster is the Toyota Supra than the Toyota Celica GT-S?
I have a Toyota Celica GT-S and it’s very fast, however, I seen a Toyota Supra one day and I know that’s the fastest Toyota. Kind of like how the Camaro is the second fastest to the Corvette. Anyway, is there a big difference in the speed of a Supra versus a Celica GT-S? Would a Supra beat a Mustang GT? Let me know these answers please, thanks!

A: I’m sure the Supra TT (Twin Turbo) with 320hp is much faster. But the base model has only 225 I believe so it wouldn’t be that fast considering how much heavier it is compared to the Celica.

Q: How much would it cost to import a Toyota Supra to the USA?
I want to get a Supra into the USA, I dont care if I cant drive it, I just want one. http://www.carontrack.com/toyota/supra/index.shtml
This is the one I want, so if anyone can give me hand on telling me how much it would cost, and the price to import it to the USA. Thanks

A: The shipping will cost several thousand and even if you have no plans to drive it U.S. customs won’t release it until is meets U.S. emission standards along with all other U.S. car requirements. The Total for shipping and modifications can easily come to nearly ten grand.

Get a real sports car instead…..

Q: Where can you buy a toyota supra?
Where in ohio can you buy a toyota supra or toyota supra turbo??? Its my favorite car and im going to get 1 but i dont know where you can buy them. Ive looked almost everywhere;(

A: www.craigslist.com
www.clublexus.com (in the sc300/400 section of the forums)
www.toyota-supra.info(in the forums)
www.google.com
www.ebay.com

Q: Who thinks that the mkiv toyota supra is one of the best lookin cars ever made?
I mean the car is so good lookin if only they wood facelift it one more time for the year 2007 that wood be the best. Not only that the car is now over 10 yrs old now and still a supra along side a mazda rx8 and a nissan 350z the toyota supra still looks up to date with them. NOT ONLY THAT MY DREAM CAR WOOD BE A (LEMANS) WIDEBODY TOYOTA SUPRA GT 4 THE ROAD THAT WOOD BE SO COOL. NISSAN DID A LM 4 THE ROAD WITH THE NISMO SKYLINE LM ROAD CAR IF ONLY TOYOTA DID THE SAME.

A: it’s a looker but not even in the top 5 %, if you include the exotics.
but as far as the capabilities, modabilty. yes, its in the top 1%. and this is coming from a person who owns 3 toyotas currently.

Q: what cold air intake will fit a 1987 Toyota Supra? I’d like to know about the piping.?
I need to know what Cold Air Intake will fit on a 1987 Toyota Supra. I hear it’s from a Honda, but I don’t know what model. I’ve tried to find the cold air intake for the supra, and I only get the filter and not the whole kit, I need the complete kit. Does anybody have an answer for me? Thanks in advance…..Diggy

A: you cant put the filter on right off the intake manifold!!!!

if you do the car wont run, there is a VAF (vane air flow sensor) in the intake pipe close to the air filter. when you start the car air flows past it opening the “vane” in the VAF thereby supplying the fuel pump with power along with other things.

as far as getting a cold air intake… i bought a cold air intake for my 03 Tiburon and i decided to make it a short ram intake so i have a piece of aluminum pipe left over from the tib… i bought a 87 supra off craigslist and it didn’t have any intake piping, i bought it as a non running car because the guy didnt know it NEEDS a intake pipe running to the intake from the VAF. i threw my left over piece of pipe on, and 10 min after he droped the car off for me i got the car running.

best bet is unbolt the air filter box from the VAF and put a cone filter on that and it will work out good

Q: does an mk4 toyota supra radiator fit in a mk3 toyota supra?
I have an 1989 toyota supra mk3 and was wondering does an 1995 toyota supra mk4 radiatore fit in my 89 toyota supra mk3

A: They’re very close, but not identical. If you were to go shopping for an aftermarket one, Transpro shows their model 433196 fits both vehicles. On the other hand, Spi shows two different models (CU196 and CU1855). Transpro has set theirs up to take multiple offset bolt positions so as to cover more models with a single product.

So no, if you’re talking OEM radiators, while the plumbing is the same, you’re going to have some problems using the ‘95 OEM version due to the slight difference in mounting configurations. If you’re buying one in the aftermarket, it some manufacturers are able to handle both vehicles.

It’s a question of who made that ‘95 radiator… OEM or “other”.
.

Q: is it possible to put a lamborghini engine/motor into a 1994 Toyota Supra?
ok so im really into cars and my Favorite cars as of right now are the :

Ferrari F430 Scrudia
Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640
1993-1999 Toyota Supra
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7-9

And would it be possible to take EVERYTHING- out of a Lamborghini Murcielago’s Car and put it in a supra’s car model?
and if so would it work and be as fast as it?

A: Im sure its possible, but there would have to be alot of body work to fit it inside, and the engine would have to be redone to make it fit the frame of the supra. It would cost you thousands and you’d have to find some place wher they do custom jobs like that, but i dont get why anybody would do that. It would be just as fast, just a different frame/car then the lamborghini. You’d also probably have to change everthing under the car just so it could work.

Q: Are toyota Supra legal in the United States?
i might get a toyota supra when i get my permit (when im 16) >BS< and im might get a 93 supra sz or a 4 door skyline 2.5 gt so im wondering are they legal?

A: Supra yes. Skyline no.

Nissan never intended for the Skyline to be sold in the US so they didn’t spend the money required to make it meet our crash and emissions laws. Some people/companies have converted them to be legal in some states but it was expensive.

The Supra was sold in the US market so it met all our laws. However like any old car they have gradually been wrecked, heavily modified, or just worn out in the past 17 years. They weren’t sold in big numbers either. Finding a good one now is difficult which has kept the value very high.

Q: If i had a 1997 toyota supra twin turbo with 647 HP and its top speed is already 180 MPH how much faster could?
If I had a 1997 Toyota Supra twin turbo with 647 HP and it’s top speed is already 180 MPH how much faster could I get it souped up to make it get up to about 215-230 minimum?

A: Umm… you’d need to change your gear ratios. honestly you shouldn’t need more than 650 or so to get over 200 mph…. but you’d need to adjust your gear ratios to get you there and it’ll take a while to get up to top speed. You’d need to find the point where you gear ratios vs top speed attainable peak, and I’m sure you could find a calculator of sorts for the online.

Q: Can you put a Toyota supra engine in a 1989-1994 toyota pickup?
I have been wanting to purchase an older model toyota supra and pull the engine to put in a 1989-1994 toyota pickup. i know that it would have to be 2wd, but just wondering if anyone has done it. if you have, could you tell me the ease of the swap? thanks a lot

A: you most certainly can…here is one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9-fmEvcml4

Q: 1987 toyota supra check engine light does not work?
i have a 1987 toyota supra and the check engine light is not working, therefore i cannot smog it. What would cause it to not work?
i have a 1987 toyota supra and the check engine light is not working, therefore i cannot smog it. What would cause it to not work? I have alos replaced the computer and the light on the dashboard and still no light

A: The only thing’s are…

A. The computer will not turn on the light which is an internal computer problem.

B. The bulb is burnt out.

C. Somebody removed the bulb.

There is no ‘fuse’ for the check engine light or anything like that. It’s either a bad computer or it needs a bulb.
I would say it needs a bulb as light bulbs are the problem 9 out of 10 times with lighting problems on a car.

Q: Are they really coming back with the Toyota Supra?
Okay, i’m only asking cuz i’ve heard that they are coming back with the toyota supra in either 2007 or 2008 and i wanna knw if its true

A: I think it will be the Lexus LFA, I saw it in a magazine and its supposed to compete with the NSX/HSC (Honda Sports Concept).

Q: How much would a Toyota Supra sell on ebay?
Its a ‘98 Supra twin turbo, very clean, 26,000 miles on it, and it’s automatic, how much would it sell for?
If I also just wanted to sell it, not on ebay, how much?

A: Not sure, but check kelly blue book or edmunds. They wont give you the really worth price, but close.

Yea, like the guy above me said. If it was stick, id buy it in a sec.

Q: chevy camaro?
does anybody know what’s going on with the new chevy camaro, like in Tranformers. I HAVE to have that car! yellow with black racing stripes…anybody know if its new and not out yet or if it is where i can get one, thanks so much!!

A: it’s not out yet.

Q: Chevy Camaro?
Does anyone have any information as to when Chevy will come out with it?

What can you order on it, if you preorder?

A: Here is the rundown on the Camaro, again…
– No pricing has been released yet, since they haven’t even announced engine packages or final build specs.
– Being a 2009 Camaro, it will be available near the end of 2008, or early 2009.
– Call your local dealer about the preorder. My guess is that you can only put money down, and get your name on the list for the first shipment. It will be hard to pick options, since Chevy doesn’t even know the options yet.

For more info, just keep your eyes open. Car and Driver and Chevy’s website will be your best sources for information.

Q: What is the best sounding exhaust for a 2010 Chevy Camaro V8?
I am about to buy a 2010 Chevy Camaro V8. I want a real aggresive exhaust but not to powerful. I want it to sound like a true american muscle car, not some POS ricer. Any ideas, I listened to dynomax soundbits and I like the Glasspack and 2 chamber welded sounds. Basically in that range.

A: get the upgraded high performance exhaust system from gm. your dealer will install it for you. it sounds great on the car but is not so loud you can’t enjoy it. it sounds like pure muscle

Q: How much is a body kit for a 2010 chevy camaro? Also how much would it cost to put 4 mufflers in the camaro?
How much is a body kit for a 2010 chevy camaro? Also how much would it cost to put 4 mufflers in the camaro?

A: why make the camaro look like crap.. their isn’t a body kit that looks better.. however probably run around $1300 for a body kit.. and 4 muffler or 4 exhaust tips? adding 4 mufflers would make it flow like crap.. learn about how cars work first

Q: How to remove DelcoBose stereo system in 1995 Chevy Camaro?
I just got a 1995 Chevy Camaro and it has the DelcoBose system in it and an aftermarket head unit. It works okay but I want to replace the entire thing. I hear that it’s pretty annoying to work with, so how can I remove everything extra so I just have the head unit and the wires and mounting locations for the 4 speakers. I will add an amplifier too so I want to remove any sound processors or anything else not needed for an aftermarket system as well. Thanks!

A: See if this helps.

http://installdr.com/InstallDocs/GM/PDF/460061.pdf

Q: How much would it cost to modify a 2010 chevy camaro to have 1000 HP? What will i need?
What would i need to make a chevy camaro 2010 have a 1000 HP? Also how much will everything cost?

A: Install the highest compression forged pistons you can get. Strongest H-beam rods. Have the block blueprinted, and a machine shop perform there best services on it. Have the whole rotating assembly balanced. Get the heads ported, and polished with bigger valves, and have them put a 7-angle valve job on them. Port and polish the intake manifolds. Get the biggest throttle body you can find. You’ll prolly need some bigger fuel injectors. Get some stronger valve springs, and higher ratio rocker arms. Put the biggest cam you can find in it. I’d put a double roller timing chain on it, or go gear drive. Long tube headers, with true dual exhaust. With an x pipe of course. Then if you have enough money put a turbocharger, or supercharger on it. This isn’t the best idea to run boost on a high compression ratio, but with stron internals, and a balanced rotating assembly, with a lot of tuning it can be ran safley to the engine. You also have to run high octane. More than likely race fuel with the compression ratio you’ll be running. If you wanted you could put low compression ratio pistons in it, and run boost. That way you could run it without race fuel. Expect to put down a few hundred to a few thousand to have it dyno tuned, and setup perfectly. With all that you should be able to get your numbers your wanting. Expect to put down 15,000-30,000 dollars during this build! lol

Q: How much would it cost to paint a 1994 chevy camaro?
im looking to buy a 1994 Chevy Camaro and its a mahogany reddish color, a color that i really do not like, and im looking to go to a Maaco and buying a new paint job. and i was just wondering how much it would cost me.

A: That depends on how much paint you want, how much you want painted (the engine compartment and sheet metal underneath the interior will still be that ugly red), how many layers it’ll take/you’ll want, and of course, the main killer, labor.
Plus, you’ll want a quality paint job, otherwise you’ll regret it. If you go to Maaco and get a cheezy $500 paint job, it’ll show. The paint might be cloudy, body parts might not match, there could be bubbles in the paint, etc.
If you want a high-quality paint job, you’ll have to shoot for the 4-figure area.

In the end, it would be better to look for another ‘94 Camaro. You could at least get a color you like if you keep looking, and God knows there’s tons of them out there if you look.
I suggest going to http://www.craigslist.com or http://www.autotrader.com (both sites I used when I was looking for my ‘98 Camaro). If you live in the OC area of California, you can also check out the Recycler. Some good cars go through there.
Never settle for less than the best, even if you have to look for a while. I spent two months looking for my Camaro, and my dad spent 6 months looking for his.

Q: how can you convert from power windows in a 98 chevy camaro to crank windows?
I am having problems with my power windows and really cant afford to take it in to have it repaired. Drivers side is not working at all, ( started going up a little then stopping all together ) now my passengers side is doing the same thing. I have a 1998 chevy camaro Z28. please…please help me y’all.
also..when the drivers side window stopped all together so did my radio speaker on that side.

A: It would cost more for you to convert than it would be to repair the window. More than likely the window motors must be replaced.

Q: What headers should i put on a chevy 350 for a camaro?
what type of headers should i put on my 1987 chevy camaro swapped 350cc holley carbureted and much more.. im currently rebuilding it and wanna get rid of the manifolds and put some nice headers on.. just not sure which, im new to the 350

A: Hooker, Headman and Blackjack all make them for your car, trick is to order them for a 1987 with 5.0 or 5.7 engine but make sure you tell them 1987 model year. the headders will have the proper bends and collectors for that year and design, then go with Magnaflow from the headders to tail pipe for proper fit

Q: 1997 Chevy Camaro rs is this a good car?Or does it have engine problems or transmision?
i was planning on buying a 1997 Chevy Camaro rs v6 107,265 mile Automatic transmision and i wanted to know if these car are any good i ask because where i’m from there rare cars you dont see them often i was told i was better off with a honda or toyota.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.enacre.net

Q: I have an 1989 chevy camaro. I replaced the fuel pump, distributor, cap, wires and it still wont start.?
I have an 1989 chevy camaro. I replaced the fuel pump, distributor, cap, wires and it still wont start. It turns over, the fuel pump runs for a few seconds then shuts off. I have gone so far as to replace the modulator.

When I start it I have to tap the gas to get fuel in the pump then wait then turn over again, sometimes it starts sometimes it takes a few more turn overs.

It is almost like the fuel pump isnt priming.

A: Disconnect the fuel line going into the carb and aim it towards a container to catch overflow. Crank the engine over and see if fuel spits out. If nothing comes out you’ve still got a fuel pump problem.
Also make sure you have fuel in the tank, at least 5 gallons.

Q: how do I take off and replace my window motor on a 2002 chevy camaro?
I am trying to replace the window motor on my 2002 chevy camaro on the drivers side. any instructions, tips, or any suggestions on places I can look for help will be well appreciated.

A: Does the Camaro use the ’scissors’ system or a belt in a track?
I have had to replace window motors in my Olds Cutlass Ciera and it was the belt in a track system. A repair manual won’t be any help, it can’t say anything about windows because they are a ‘hazard’ (glass). Unless I know what kind of system it is, this is the best I can tell you.

First you will need to first take off the door panel. You will see that the window apparatus is very hard to get to; this is a tougher job than one would expect. You will need to detach the two brackets that hold the window up from the window by loosening bolts on the brackets. Then you will need to detach the window motor from the inside of the door (and anything else holding the apparatus in there) by drilling out the bolts with a power drill. You will then have to find a way to remove the entire assembly from the inside of the door. This may take a while, but it is, in fact, possible. Once you’ve got the assembly out, replace the motor itself and repeat the process in reverse!

Hope this information is relevant. Like I said, I have never specifically done Camaro windows, but I think this should be a basic outline of what you need to do. I was never able to find any printed information about mine when I did them.
Good luck!

Q: Does anyone know where the high beam switch is in a 2001 Chevy Camaro?
Ok people when i turn on my Camaro the high beams are on idk if its like that or not but their always on.. Does anyone know the exact spot where it is? Its a 2001 Chevy Camaro V6 base.

A: zx9, what are you talking about? He wants to know how to turn them on/off. :shakes head:

As someone else stated, the stalk that you use your blinkers for is also your high beam switch, pull the stalk towards you to flick the high beams on/off.

Q: what is a good price for straight pipes for a 2010 chevy camaro?
i just got a brand new 2010 chevy camaro. and in my personal opinion sports cars need pipes lol. my question is how much would it cost to get straight pipes put on my car. and what should i consider a good price, or a rip off?

A: well i just had my tuck done from the motor all the way out the back for 240 so anything less your good. anything more its a rip off

Q: Where can i rent a Chevy Camaro in Ohio or Michigan?
I live in Michigan and i want to rent a 2010 chevy camaro but i don’t know where. Can somebody tell me where in Ohio or preferably Michigan?

A: Avis and Enterprise used to rent out 2010 Camaro’s, but most of the inventory in the nation hit the 10k mile mark early.
You can expect 2011 rentals shortly after the new model year is introduced this summer.

Q: About how much a month is it to have insurance on a fairly new Hummer H2?

A: My auto blog has a few places to get free quotes from different companies at once so I suggest you look for yourself and compare. Try other websites or use the search engines to find more to compare and get the best deal. Jim don’t be a hater cause someone drives a better vehicle than you.

Q: Does anyone know more likely how much does a 2005 (used and new)Hummer H2 SUT cost?

A: Check Kelly’s blue book. It will have prices for your area and different option levels.

Q: how much does the new hummer h2 cologne cost in egypt?

A: 2 chickens and a blanket

Q: what is a brand new hummer h2 price in egypt?

A: According to the Akhar El Sayarat annual edition the H2 is sold for L.E 1.2 million, if registered as a truck, it is can be bought for L.E850,000. The most expensive SUV in the local market is the Range Rover sport edition and it costs L.E1.65 million.

Q: Is the new 2009 hummer h2 any good?
Im 17 years old. last year when i turned 16, my parents bought me a 2008 hummer h2. AND I LOVE IT. But, i recintly found a 2009 hummer h2, brand new, 4,345 miles on it… For only $42,842 .. I’m thinking about buying it.. (I have money to buy it right now) im just debating if its any better than the 2008? Im going to test drive/look at one tomoorrow to see what the difference is. Even if theres no MAJOR updates, i will prob still get it.. ITs just the feeling of having an 2009 when its 2009. You understand right? Thanks for you answers!!! I NEED TO KNOW FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN IT, KNOW ABOUT IT! THANKS AGAIN!!!

A: Your parents have more money than sense. At any rate there are no real differences between the 2008 H2 and the 2009. They are mechanically the same. The vehicles are practically identical.

Is there something wrong with your current H2? Is it just worn out from all the off-roading you surely do? or is your current H2 in last year’s color and you therefore the purchase of a new one is an absolute necessity? Who cares, I mean it’s not like it’s your money or anything.

Q: whats a brand new 2007 hummer h2 price in saudi arabia?

A: Around 200 000 saudi riyals and depending on the options it may be a bit higher or slightly lower and the prices are around the same range in the arabian gulf generally with slight differences cause it also depends if your getting it from the dealler or a car shop

Q: Which ride should I get?…The hummer H2 or the new Cadillac truck.?
I bought a Toyota Camry two years ago because of the gas prices and my hours at the job had been cut. Now, i make three times as much and is ready to get back into my truck. but I dont know which one to choose from.

A: Well lets start with the Camry. What is wrong with the car? Just because you make more doesn’t mean you have to buy into the hype. A Hummer is not a good vehicle at all. Well that is not true if you like bad ride quality and zero gas mileage, go for it. Plus gas is more expensive than two years ago. If you still want a big ride go for the Caddy only if it is 85% ethanol. If it isn’t look at the Avalanche, same truck. The atmosphere will thank you.

Q: Should I buy a new 08 corvette z06 or a 08 hummer H2?
I can’t decide..

A: Corvette.

Rides better, looks better, accelerates better, handles better, better quality and much better interior (after-facelift ‘08 model). Chevy is much faster and has a significantly higher mileage. It’s easier to park, has a better curb to curb turning circle etc. etc.

Hummer is of course better off-road, rides good too and has a roomier interior, but though a really good car, it’s crap compared to the Vette.

Really, don’t even hesitate, buy a Corvette. You won’t regret it.

Q: Hey new Hummer owners! What is SP Syndrome?
Hey new Hummer owners! I just got a new Hummer H2 for Christmas (they had an incredible zero down financing deal!) While driving home, I was stopped at a stop light listening to the new Britney Spears album and some guy shouted “Hey A$$hole! Nice car! You must have SP Syndrome to drive a car like that!” I realize the guy is just jealous of my new Humvie (and I cut off his tiny little Honda Civic a few minutes earlier, damn Jap junk! I only buy USA!) but I don’t know what SP Syndrome is. Does anyone know what SPS is?

A: My friend Drew claims to have CFS – confined farting syndrome. Whenever he gets in a confined space – car, elevator, packed concert hall, etc., he gets excessive and debilitating gas. Maybe SP syndrome is something like that.

Q: H2 (Hummer) Question! Car!?
Alright, so I just turned 16 two weeks ago, and my parents made me wait for my present for two weeks ( I was bummed, but they said it would be worth the wait ) and they suprised me with a brand new H2 Hummer

ANYWAY
Currently already, I am getting 11MPG, but I’ve heard rumors that the more I drive it, the better the gas milage will get. Is this true?

I can provide pictures if needed.

A: Your gas mileage might increase just a little bit as the engine and drivetrain goes through its break-in period (the first thousand miles or so), but not substantially. At the most you might see a 0.5 MPG improvement.

After that, your fuel efficiency can only go down. The air filter will get dirty and make the engine less efficient, parts will begin to wear, etc. This is true of all normal cars.

Q: I m planning to buy a new car.which is a good hummer h2 or h3 and WHY?
or any suggestions for a luxurious 4X4 or luxurious 2X2

A: Hummer is in no way luxurious or comfortable or roomy eventhough they are large.
Out of the Hummer H2 and H3, the H3 is better. Better on gas, faster, cheaper.

If you want a luxury SUV that is better on ga and has more room, get a Cadillac Escalade, Acura MDX, Lexus LX, Toyota LandCruiser, Infiniti QX

Q: hummer h2 questions………………………..?
what song do you think would go best of driveing a hummer h2 in the summer i bust the window by jasmine suvine and do you thing the hummer new 6sp trans is faster with it 17 mpg and also the top speed of the new 2009 hummer h2

A: yes your thoughts are spot on

Q: any new changes comin to the up coming hummer h2?

A: I don’t think you will see a new H2 Hummer. That line is slated to be dropped by gm in the very near future. Gm is currently looking to have someone else take over production. If they can’t find a buyer it’s BYE BYE Hummer.

Q: New Nissan 350Z (Track) vs. Used Porsche 911 (996)?
I’m looking at purchasing a car and I have a budget of about $35K. The performance is close; so is it pedigree or new?

A: I’d get the 350Z. It looks great and feels better to know that you just purchased your own brand new car.

Q: Used BMW Z4 M Coupe, Porsche Boxster or new Nissan 350Z?
basically, this is the first nice car i can afford so what would your choice be?
I will keep it for about 3 years. I should probably add i’m in The UK.

A: FULLY AGREE WITH gsf1200, hold on for a tiny bit new 09 370z is just about on the shelves (Road & Track has said it will be available in January, base price $30,000, topped out$35,000, here’s UK website

http://www.nissan.co.uk/home/vehicles/compact/coming/index.html?ln=/en_GB

lighter, touch shorter and faster than the 350, and much upgraded interior, but running same overall engine platform (faster/better transmission).

regards

Q: Used Nissan 350z, or new Nissan Juke?
I’m looking at getting a car, and can afford either of these options. I want it to be sporty, and in general I like the 350z’s looks better. But I also like the increased functionality of the Juke, mainly that it can seat four people. Any thoughts I’m not considering? Or other alternatives?

A: If the 350z and Juke are in your price range, I am assuming close to 20k, I would go with a 350z coupe. The problem with a $20k entry level car, is that no matter what it looks like, it always drives like a $20k car. There is always road noise, slight vibrations, and other characteristics of a cheap car. Used is always a good way to go. It extends your search to cars that may not have been in your search because of price. Depending on how old you go, you can get cars that cost $35-50k when new. These cars will have quality that you can feel and see. Plus you dont have to worry about depreciation since it is used, something that you will see with the Juke.

A good alternative to the 350z is the G35 coupe. It is pretty much as fast as the 350z since it has the powertrain but it also sits 4 although the back would be uncomfortable for anyone over 5′7. Who cares though, you’re doing the driving. Let them be uncomfortable. Also it has more trunk space. In $20k price range you could get a 05-07 350z or a 03-05 G35 coupe. Definitely try and get one that has the 6 speed manual with either of them.

Other alternatives could be an Audi A4. It has 2.0 turbo charged engine and all wheel drive. Practical, fast, classy, and reliable. The 3.2 is a better choice, but more expensive and a little harder to find. For around $20k you could easily get the new body style in a 06-07.

Also can’t go wrong with Acuras. You can get a TL or TSX 05-06 for well under $20k. They have awesome reliablity and great performance.

There are tons of choices for used cars under $20k depending on what you want. You can get anything from SUVs to trucks to sports cars or luxury sedans. With new you are somewhat limited. You are not really going to get much with performance.

Q: Nissan 350z Tire Pressure Monitor with new tires?
I have a 2003 Z & I had a blow out on one of my rear tires and was wondering when I change my tire will I have to get the tire pressure monitor reprogramed from nissan for it to work again? I have the stock rims on it right now. Just wonderin… I wont have the new tires back on til friday.

A: only if the sensors are replaced, then they would have to be reprogramed. put the tires on and make sure tire pressure is over 32 psi and light will not be on.

Q: 2005 bmw 330ci or brand new 2008 nissan 350z?
the bmw has 27,000 miles on and the price is $30,900 and the nissan 350z has 5 miles to it and the price is $29,000…

help me what to get….

A: Depends on where and how you drive. The BMW will ride on rails on dry pavement and will corner handle better. The Nissan will not drive at all on snow or ice, the BMW will. The Nissan is faster 0-60, the BMW is faster 60-120+. The 350 insurance is outrageous!!! The BMW is realativly cheap to insure. The BMW is cheaper to maintain right now and will hold its’ value a lot longer. It will be fun to drive for a long time and actually has a suspension where the 350 is like riding on a wooden box in the back of a pickup! No question the BMW is a superior car!

Q: Help With My New Car Nissan 350z!?
I recently bought a used 2004 Nissan 350z, The Car Was used as a show car: it has a full body kit tinted windows intake ETC. all these extra stuff but the owners said the Ac was removed, as for why he would not say. Why would some one remove an ac? he cut the ac line out of the condenser. I bought a new condenser and and installed it now the fan wont spin when i turn the car on i fear i missed a wire or something im just going to take the car to a shop to finsh. i also wondering where the AC compressor is located he installed one in the car i jus dont no where it is. Finally i need to purchase the Hose for the Ac but can not fins long enough ones.

A: You take out the AC because it causes parasitic drag on the crankshaft and takes away horsepower. You’ll never see a true track car with AC in there; the system is heavy and the condenser reduces clean airflow to the radiator.

If you’re going to replace the AC system then you’re going to need to probably get everything either from a salvage yard or OEM. It shouldn’t be that expensive, but the Condenser and the Pump will be the most costly. The compressor is installed in-line with the other accessories in the serpentine. From what it sounds like… you’re not that familiar with cars so for the sake of safety you probably want to have a shop take care of it for you. The last thing you want is for something to go wrong with your engine or wiring system and then now you’re in deep a few thousand.

Q: Who else loves the sound of the VQ35HR in the new Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350z?
Got my G a few months ago, can’t believe how good the engine sounds.

A: BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS YOU COULD SERIOUSLY RECORD THAT AND I WOULD LISTEN FOR HOURS

Q: I am looking at buying a new car should i buy a nissan 350z or a chrysler 300c?
i am looking at buying a new car and i realy like the look of the 300c but am also liking the 350z alot and the convertable too. please help me out i am realy keen to buy one and im stuck on wich way to go? sports car or a nice cruzer?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: If I Got A nissan 350z and made it faster with new performance parts is that good for a automatic or manual ?
What will be better for putting new parts in, a automatic or manual, Whats the diffrence?

A: I have an Skyline auto and this still gives me great speed and great fun,and never felt bad about having an auto,Both cars can be modded,Auto box would have to be slightly altered when you reach higher bhp limits to cope with the power and change setup.

Q: Nissan 350Z vibration after getting new front tires?
I just got new (front)tires for my 2006 350Z and, i get a weird vibration at about 60-70mph sounds like rubbing almost but the tires are the right size, any ideas why??? not balanced properly?

A: sounds like the tires are not balanced correctly

Q: what would look good on a red nissan 350z… black rims? smoked taillights? spoiler? etc?
i just got a new nissan 350z and i wanna get some things for it to make it look better… any suggestions?

A: All that you say can be good, it hurts that you have not left a picture. you can put him tires but big that the original and chromed, to darken the cristals…

luck!

——————————————
http: hechizeroblanco.googlepages.com

Q: What are some new cheaper priced sports cars like nissan 350z?

A: there are many

there are the ford mustang, the toyota celica, toyota solara, hyndai tibouron, the acura integra, acura RSX/TSX, Infiniti G35, Dodge stratus, and much much more.

Q: What new features will the 2007 Nissan 350Z have?
Will there be better performance? Heard the 07 models will be based from the GT-R platform.

A: i’m not sure…. i think its the same

Q: is the nissan 350z gonna have a new body in the near future?

A: Nissan and every auto maker changes the body style of their vehicles every 5 years so since the 350Z has been out since 2003 the new Z will be out in 2008 labled under 2009 Nissan 370Z Compact Coupe. No information has been released on it as of yet and only test mules have been spotted around with the new 370Z’s engine put into an old 350Z body… so noone knows what it will look like yet.

Q: The new 350z?
What do you think about the new Nissan 350z that’s coming out in 2010. It’ll be called the 370z!!!! It changed so much! What do you think?

A: Those pictures are still photoshop and some crazy ideas mixed so we do not know what it is really going to be.

On the other hand, it makes sense to go into the new engine as Infinity already adopted it for their new models like the G37 and the G37 Coupe.

Only the GT-R is using a better version of the same engine (even when Nissan claims is not) with a 3.8 litter and a twin turbo setup. It seems that by the time it hits the streets here in the US in summer, the V-specs model will be out in the streets in Japan.

Nissan is trying to do a come back. We will have to see if the GT-R together with the G37 and the 370Z will make a difference in the sports cars industry.

Q: Buying a used Dodge Viper SRT-10?
My cousin just got in the naval academy and he says that on their third year they get to get a loan for a career starting thing and he said most mids spend it on cars. I was wondering would it be possible for him to be able to afford a $70k used dodge viper? He said the loan was not enough but his mom is going to give him the rest and he just has to pay her back so do Naval officers have enough to pay back a $70k car??? I thought they didn’t make that much.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: What is the dodge viper used more for race or drift i don’t know but I don’t want a drift car?

A: Gees how many times are you going to ask this questioN!!ROAD RACING!!!!GOT IT?GOOD!!!!!

Q: is the dodge viper used for racing or drifting also is the corvette zo6 used for racing or drifting?

A: Both would be great for both

Q: I am thinking of buying a used dodge viper.?
Which years are most reliable, and which years should I stay away from? Help….

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: What is te price of a used 2003-2006 dodge viper srt10?

A: usually you can find them anywhere from 18k-30k. depending on options and miles and quality and such. usually an average one in good condition will go for around 23k

Q: Whats cooler, a real dodge viper or a flawless lambourghini merci replica?
You can see the replicas I’m speaking of at www.jvccustomdesigns.com, they are flawless. I want something to turn heads, even the replicas have impressive v8 performance, and electronic gear shifting, functional batwings and everything. I just want it to turn heads, however, they are not the real deal and they cost up to 70 grand. whereas i could get a used dodge viper for less and it’s the real deal. But keep in mind a real merci is easily a quarter million, so it’s respectable. I’m interested in the older 1st generation vipers, and u can pick one up for like 35-40 grand with low mileage. no matter how much $ I had i wouldn’t buy a real mercialago because it’s too much to worry about and you’re out like a grand for every mile you put on it. So just for the wow factor, what do you think, real viper or head turning replica?
The replicas are not on fiero chassis, they are on porsche or custom tubular chassis, so no, they’re not fieros

A: Anything real is better than a replica.

Q: dodge viper is it more a drift car or racing car what is it used more for racing or drifting help?
is it a good all around car help

A: Mann how many times are you gonna ask this question….It,s a good all around car for racing…They run them mostly on tracks for road racing…

Q: does a dodge viper come with standard transmission. How much do they cost? Brane new and used.?

A: They only come with a manual transmission. Its a sports car so its meant to be driven which means put your phone down and shift it.

They start at $91,220. Used prices depend on the mileage, condition, and demand just like every used car.

Q: Knight Rider with a Dodge Viper?
Does anyone remember the title of that late night show in the 90’s that was kind of like ‘Knight Rider’ but it used a Dodge Viper?

It wasn’t affiliated with the Knight Rider series, but I believe the concept was the same.

A: yea it was called VIPER or VIPR search it on youtoube you should find it

Q: Which year Dodge Viper has the least problems.?
In my search,I have found the early, first generation Vipers had head problems….then I hear the newer ones have weak half shafts..(with 500 hp what wouldn’t be weak?)
Are there any Viper fans that can send me some tips on buying my first used Viper…
thanks
mary ann

A: depending on the year of one you going to buy any of them are going to develop problems, the only thing i have seen from the newer ones or second generation was weak transmissions, and that was only on a few,and i think most of that was probably from abuse, really you cant judge any of them from their past problems because a friend of mine has a first generation one that has never had problem one from anything other than normal problems like brakes and routine maintenance, and this guy isn’t easy on vehicles he runs it at what it will do when he can,not all of them will give problems,s you may buy one and never have any major problems from it at all,i would listen for noise in any transmission on one, other than that do the regular checks that you do on a car before you buy it,good luck.

Q: What is a dodge vipers fuel efficiency?
Can you give me a percentage on how much percent of gas is used in a dodge vipers engine?

A: My guess would be that it is 100% efficient. With the proper fuel, when the accelerator is depressed the car performs just as designed.
If you are asking about mileage, consider this:
“The EPA guide shows that the Dodge Viper SRT10 convertible has a fuel economy rating of 13 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon when driving on the highway. This then gives a combined fuel economy rating of 16 miles per gallon. When we look at the Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe, there is the same 8.4L V10 20-valve engine that produces 600 hp and comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission. With the same engine and transmission combination, the coupe achieves the same fuel economy rating as the convertible – 13 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon when driving on the highway for a combine of 16 miles per gallon.”

Surprised? Me too, also.

Q: Dodge Viper turbocharger ???
I bought a used 08 Viper because I was unable to find anyone seling a rare hennesy viper (which I wanted) I am looking at spending around 10-15k for a good turbo charger that can give me the extra kick i want. so please answer soon telling me what turbo to buy

A: Get one from Hennessey Performance Engineering?

Q: Why i do not see a lot of Dodge Vipers on the road and/or streets compared to the Corvettes at the same price?
The Vipers these days depending on the year of the model cause less around 35,000-70,000 dollars around the same price of Corvettes, yet people don’t seem to drive them as much as corvettes that cost the same as the vipers.

Is it because people don’t care about the dodge viper or that dodge does not advertise the car as much as Chevy advertises their Corvette. Especially when the dealership still sell the prevrious models of used corvettes which Dodge doesn’t sell their used vipers or past models of the viper.

A: EASY BUTTON 101 – Dodge does not build nearly as many Vipers a year as GM does Corvettes. The Viper is a limited production hand built vehicle whereas the Corvette is mass produced on an assembly line.

Q: can i install a viper engine into a dodge ram without changing the transmission in the ram?
im buying a viper engine from a dealership and i have a dodge Ram 1500. I wanted to take out the V8 and install the v10 viper engine. i just wanted to know if i had to get a transmission from a viper to install into the Ram or if i could just use the old transmission?

A: First off, the suspension may need to upgraded. I say may, because the Viper engine is aluminum, and may not be too heavy for the 1500. The V10 in Dodge pickups have a cast iron block, and only fitted to 2500 series.
The Viper engine develops so much power, all Vipers come with a 6 speed manual transmission. You may have to get a transmission from a Viper, or the heavy duty automatic from the V10 pickups.

Q: 0-60 in a dodge viper with a tank of nitrous?
Yea so i know the dodge viper gets from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds so if you use a tank of nitrous from 0-60 how much faster will it go. I was told it will add about 200 horspower so would it be 2.5seconds or less than that

A: more power = less traction. the tires would spin and not be much better then 3.5 seconds.
