Q: Does anyone know what the ‘fps’ button does on a 2005 Nissan 350z?
I have the 35th anniversary edition 350z, and on the dashboard, under the steering wheel, is a small button that says FPS on it. It has a picture of a man and a triangle like headlights or something. Even the Nissan mechanics here don’t know what to make of it! When I press it/depress it, nothing seems to happen.
A: FPS switch where exactly and what does the switch look like? Does it look like the other switches? Picture? send me a e-mail jp.hudson@sbcglobal.net.
Q: where can i buy a nissan 350z for $25,000 and under with low km’s in Australia?
im looking for a nissan 350z for my first car , but they are all really expensive. Where can I found a cheap one in Australia?
A: Is there not the possibility to purchase the used Jap imports. I know there is a huge export market out of Japan in used cars and they are rhd cars, possibly with better equipment.
Q: Is A Nissan 350Z a good car to buy?
I am very interested in a Nissan 350Z however they can be quite costly, I am wondering If they are good reliable cars and also why are they so expensive. Thank you for your help.
A: yes they are bullit proof cars…..real good engine and trannys…made to be driven properly and mad eto perform but keep in mind there is always that guy or girl that is just hard on any car and abuses the hell out of it and never does maintiance, so always have the car checked out by a mechanic before you buy…
Q: What are the OEM wheel sizes on a 2008 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe?
I know that the front ones are 18×8. Are the rear ones also 18×8? Or 18×8.5? Different websites say different things!
If it helps, I found a picture of the exact ones. http://www.hubcaphaven.com/350z_wheels.htm It’s the second one, Nissan 350Z Wheel ALY62455/62456 Hyper Silver.
Thanks in advance!
A: The front wheels are 18×8 and the rears are 18×8.5
Q: Nissan 350z want to change stock exhaust to greddy ti-c?
ok heres what i got an 05 nissan 350z enthusiast. i want to buy a single greddy ti-c exhaust not the dual. i really want to change the WHOLE exhaust system. Now here is my question. if i buy that exhaust what other parts would i need to buy to basically make the whole exhaust aftermarket not including headers. the y pipe is what is connected to the headers correct then another pipe? and then the cat convertor?
A: The greddy system hooks onto your exhaust after the cat converters. Most cat back systems really do not make much power long tube headers and high flow cat converters light weight flywheel then some dynometer tunning you can be very near 320 hp at the motor and 285 at the wheels
Q: Anyone know if there is center console replacement for nissan 350z?
I am looking for replacement for center console(little storage area above the stereo) in nissan 350z.
I want to replace it with DVD/Navigation.
if anyone knows, please let me know
thank you
A: Nissan with Navigation have a DVD player behind the drivers seat and satellite antenna different body wiring harness. Keep your dash box and replace your stereo with a 7″ screen DVD player Satellite radio real time Navigation. There is no retro fit available parts from Nissan. GARMIN after market units are easier to use and update via the internet. The Center Stack Box is what that is called Console is under your arm behind the shifter.
Q: Nissan 350z…is it a good buy, and where to get it cheap?
I wanna know if anyone knows about the Nissan 350z and somewhere where i can get it for under 8,000 or so. I would like to know about its best features ans stuff like that.
A: For under $8,000, it would have to have very high mileage or a salvaged title.
Here’s my 350Z review I gave to someone else:
The Z is an amazing car!!! I have a silver 2005 6-speed Touring coupe, and I’ve never had a problem with it, not even one. It’s the best sports car you can buy for under $40,000 and maybe even more. It’s fast, around 287-319HP depending on model and year, 0-60 is around 5.5 seconds. 1/4 mile time is around 13-14 seconds. Top speed is 155 MPH, but don’t try that at home.
The fuel economy depends on your driving habits and if you drive mostly highway or city, but the average is probably around 19 MPG. It requires premium fuel and I think it has an 18 gallon tank. I usually get an average of 300 miles out of a tank, depending on how spirited my driving is and whether it’s highway or city. I’ve taken it on a couple of road trips from Houston to Chicago, where the driving was all highway, and I got about 400 miles out of the tank.
It’s fine with regular motor oil, but I prefer synthetic. It’s twice the price, but it lasts twice as long, and it provides better protection. As far as I know, once you give it synthetic oil, you can’t switch back.
It handles really well and the steering feedback is great. The brakes are responsive and fade-free. It’s has a near perfect balance of sportiness and comfort. It’s not too harsh, and not too soft. It also has a near-perfect weight distribution.
I would recommend that you buy a manual because it shifts cleanly and intuitively. It’s smooth and purposeful, and it allows you to utilize the most performance from the motor. I have cravings to go out for drives because shifting in it is so fun! The clutch has a relatively short travel, and is not too hard or soft, it’s release is just right.
The exhaust note is melodious and distinctive, but doesn’t sound aggressive under 3500 RPM, which is good or bad depending on your preference.
I think it looks better than the 370Z, G35 Coupe, and the G37 Coupe. It’s a design that’s been out since 2003, that’s 7-8 years, and it still turns heads and attracts attention. They come in silver, black, bright blue, dark blue, red, yellow, white, silverstone, and sunset, which is copper or orange depending on the year. It looks good in just about every color, but I don’t like silverstone, which is the greenish gray, because it makes the car look grungy, and no matter what it always looks dirty, so avoid it.
The one thing that bothers me about Z’s are the mud flaps that most of them have that were installed by dealers. They ruin the look of the aggressive stance of the Z, and break up otherwise flowing lines. Many dealers installed them before they sold them just to make a few extra bucks, but they’re unnecessary and ugly. I don’t have them and I don’t have any scuff, scratches, chips, or dings in my fenders at all. Anjay Panchal, the man that designed the Z, didn’t intend for them to be on there. Please remove them as soon as you get you car, trust me.
Z’s are highly customizable, and has a huge aftermarket selection of parts. I think window tint and a nice set of 19″ alloys make it stand out very well without breaking the bank and without looking like a ricer. Please avoid chrome. Please.
There’s nothing like the Z, even if you spend thousands more. The VQ35DE motor has won many awards and has been on Ward’s list of best motors in the world for years.
In 2003, there was a minor recall or two, but those problems were fixed.
It has really good crash test ratings.
If you are going to buy one, I would recommend that you get a Touring or Grand Touring model. It has leather, heated seats, heated mirrors, cruise control, power everything, a limited-slip differential, VDC (stability control and traction control), a Bose sound system, HID headlights, keyless entry, an alarm, and more. Side airbags are and navigation are optional. The Track and Grand Touring models come standard with Brembo brakes, which are nice, bot not necessary. The Base, Enthusiast, and Track models don’t come with VDC, which I think is VERY IMPORTANT, especially if you have sporty tires and you drive in the rain quite a bit.
The car business is slow right now, and that’s a good thing for buyers because it gives you more room to haggle. Shop around, do some research, ask questions, don’t get pressured, take your time, ask for history reports, and take some test drives. Negotiate for some free oil changes or car washes from the dealer. Tell them another dealer offered them to you. I would also recommend buying an extended warranty, not that you’ll need it, but it’s good to have just in case. Most dealers will roll that into your payments.
Once again, it’s a great car in every category, and if you buy it, you’ll fall in love. That’s all I can think of right now. If you have any more questions or concerns, email me from my profile page.
Good luck and enjoy!
Q: 2007 Nissan 350Z does the nav screen show or control any other part of the car besides nav?
For example, my audi has an integrated brain were you can change all the setting to the car including audio, ipod control and the navigation system. Does the nav system in the nissan 350 similar to this or is it just for view and manipulating the gps and nav.
Many thanks.
A: MR Bulkin your cars owners manual is calling you! And there is a seperate Navagation Booklet. Please spend a few hours reading those booklets. Display Options Settings there is a lot of things drivers information and format things you can change and how the information is displayed.
Q: Nissan 350Z ok to drive in the winter?
I am looking to buy a used Nissan 350Z but it will have to be my year round car. I live where it snows from Dec to Mar. Will this car be ok for winter driving? Will I even want to drive it in the winter?
I know rear wheel drive is not good on the snow but I have heard about putting a few sandbags in the trunk for more traction. Good winter tires will help too.
Thoughts?
A: I drive a high powered Sports car year around. But Here in Texas it may snow or ice only 1 or two days a year. The main thing is drive slow. Winter traction tires on a extra set of wheels helps too. buy the Z and in a few years you will get a winter car too.
Q: How long will a 2003 nissan 350z last?
im looking into buying a used 2003 nissan 350z, i want one cheap and to do that, it needs a lot of miles, i found some that had 100,000 i found more with 60,000. i wanna know how many miles i can get out of one before it starts falling apart
A: Nissans are generally pretty reliable engine wise you can see them with 140,000 miles a lot of times but with any make of car the maintenance makes all the difference. look at the overall condition and only take one that does not look like it has been beat up.
Q: Were to get twin turbos for 2007 Nissan 350z?
Hi, i live in New Zealand and i am modifying my 2007 Nissan 350z Track, But im trying to find Greedy Twin Turbo Kits for VQ35HR were can i found those.
Thanks.
A: I’d suggest you go with Greddy, like you chose so good choice…
But i highly suggest you get this done by professionals. I’ve seen countless people destroy their engines by doing the trubo kits by themselves. Pay the extra grand and let the pros. do it, unless you have a background in engineering and have years of experience working on racing engines.
Your total should be close to $11 grand with installation.
Don’t forget the break in period for TT kits is about 500 miles.
Q: Where can I get an OEM Nissan 350Z Navigation System?
My friend has a 2004 Nissan 350Z but he never opted for the Nav System and now he wants it but he likes the OEM one better, not the kind you just stick on your dash.
A: If it comes factory contact Nissan. Go to the Nissan house or the website.
Q: Should I buy a 2004 Nissan 350z?
I am planning to buy a 2004-2005 Nissan 350z base/enthusiast within a couple of months. However, I hear a lot of complaints regarding tire wear. Is this a common issue for all 2004-05 Nissan 350z? I am really into this car and hope to hear from Z owners as well as others. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
A: I have a 2005 350Z Base and have had ZERO problems with the “tire feathering” or premature tire wear due to factory misalignment of the wheels.
The 2003 Models seem to have ALL had this problem, BUT it was corrected by Nissan for 2004 and 2005 and later models.
I’m very happy with the car – Great performance and handling and surprisingly, not bad on gas!
However, when my lease is up on my Base Coupe at the end of ‘08, I may look into a higher trim Roadster (Enthusiast or Performance), since those models offer Traction Control, something the Base Model DOESN’T!
Good Luck with your 350Z…It’ll be a fun ride!!
Q: infiniti g35, and nissan 350z what are the differences and are there better cars for 20k?
i really like fast cars, and i have 20k
i was thinking about getting a used infiniti or nissan but my insurance would be a little expensive i guess.
so are there other cars for around 20k that are fast and good like the infinti and nissan?
what are the differences between the two?
thanks for the help yahoo! [=
A: The Infiniti is basically more upscale than 350Z, so if you like luxury, go for the infiniti, but I think the 350Z is luxurious enough, especially since most of them come with leather… so its really up to, be sure to personally look at both cars to see which one you like best, and make sure you buy them from reputable dealers, ask for a carfax history report.
Q: Is the Nissan 350z (2003) good or decent on gas?
I’ll be buying my first car soon, sometime this summer and it will be a 2003 nissan 350z. I know that it takes premium gas but was wondering is this car good on gas? also how much MPG or km it gets on how many litres… I live in Canada if your answer can help me.
Thanks in advance.
A: Horrable in the snow and on slick roads the 350Z is a sports car and it can get as much as 27 miles a gallon most owners report around 20 mpg in mixed driving at the race track hot lapping we only get 14 to 15 mpg. I just hope you can afford the insurance on that car.
