Q: Why is the Nissan Skyline GT-R so hard to find in the USA?
Ive looked everywhere for one and nothing has turned up…so that begs the question, why are they impossible to find?
A: Because the car as manufactured for the japanese market does not meet the applicable US safety and emissions control regulations. Thus the only ones you see were imported to the US as grey market cars, not by the manufacturer, but by an individual.
Q: How much is it import Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 to USA?
best company import it?
how much would it cost to get it to arkansas?
how much would it cost to convert it to us emission?
who is the cheapest to import it?
A: man i’m not trying to rain on your parade.. but someone ask this question every single day.. use the search feature.. but long story short to import one is around $20,000 and that doesn’t include the price of the car.. the car will pretty much be broken down shipped here have to be reassembled and classified as a kit car to beat emissions testing (with the exception of california) shipping from most likely cali to arkansas probably run another $1000.. and i’m not sure about who is the cheapest but remember you get what you pay for and when it comes to importing a vehicle like this.. cheap isn’t good
Q: Where can i go to get my 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 legalized?
i know that motorex doesn’t exist anymore but where else can i go?
A: good luck dude thats hella money to legalize those
Q: Whick car should I get R33-R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R, 96 Nissan 2+2(put in a tt myself), 97 Toyota Supra Turbo?
I want a car that will cause oooohs and aaaaahs when I go down the street. I want it to have a good engine so i can upgrade it to have a lot of hp. Room for my dad and my 2 brothers.
A: I just realised i just answered your question on room in a Skyline.
And for the amount of people you want in a Skyline the GTS version would still suit you .And be a lot cheaper to buy and if you are importing one again this would save on the cost.
The GTR are the top ones with the twin turbos and major bhp gains ,but cost more worldwide.
The R34 skyline has the GTT as the new GTS version.Against the GTR version.
Which again the GTT is the Single turbo version as with the GTS-T.
Or as with both they do the non turbo versions.
The single turbo version still offer great bhp gains and are very easily tuneable and offer a RWD against the AWD in the GTR series except for the GTS-4 which is again AWD.
If 2+2 is fine then you can have the GTR which are great fun and fast and again very tuneable.
The 300zx is also a great car with great power roomy but the back room is close to the 180sx range.
The supra (twin turbo) is a great super fast tuneable car which matches the Skylines for speed and class. But lacks any back seat my friend has a 1997 one and when we go out my seats have to seat crossed legged in the back even with the two front seats right forward. Its a shame and it was in my list of cars to own but with having the kids has now put me off.
Another one to look at would be the s14 /s14a silvia, UK 200sx.They offer the sr20det turboed engines again very tuneable and a drifting legend, roomy in the back not massive but roomy again same level as the 180sx/300zx series.
For me having owned been in and looked around these cars the Skyline would be the way to go.Reason why we did for the world wide head turning looks, tuneability of the engines, great aftermarket parts , A huge fan base..But overall roomy able to use as a family car with looks and power to suit. And if your in the US an eye catching show car.
But all these cars are a great choice and should suit your needs and budget. And you will be happy with any of them.
Again tho if it suits your needs,
And all have tuneable engines.
Parts are no biggy with the net and these cars being in different place around the world.
If people knock the bhp against other cars remember Japan was held for years making cars with less then 300bhp so they sent out cars with more bhp but not on paper and this is why they made easily tuneable engines,so fans could enjoy major bhp gains which all these engines are really made for.
And the Skyline is Legal in most of the US if your there.
There are loads of owners on skylineowners.com from the US .
And if you have to import it and you can then fair play and its well worth the money ask US owners. And when you come to sell it you would have to make a profit.

Q: what is the difference between the Nissan gt-r 2009 and the 2010?
its that they look the same and have the same features i cant figure out what the difference is can any1 help plzz:]
A: Only minor soft ware changes to the R mode transmission settings. And a few software changes to the engine controls.
Q: Is there a difference between the Nissan GT-R and da Infiniti G37?
Are they the same cars? and which one is faster? likes horsepower wise, 0-60 time…etc…
Thanks
A: Big difference.
The G37 is the same car as the Nissan 350z, not GT-R.
The GT-R has a different engine and powertrain, different suspernsion, different chassis. They do not share any parts at all/
The G37/350z:
0-60 in 5.5 seconds.
Top speed is 155mph.
306-330HP 6 cylinder engine.
$30,000-40,000.
The GT-R:
0-60 in 3.5 seconds.
Top speed is 192mph.
480HP twin turbo 6 cylinder engine.
$70,000-80,000.
Q: who knows how much the new 2009 nissan skyline GT-R is going to cost im thinking about buying one?
i found the new nissan skyline not the ugly concept but the actual built 2009 nissan skyline it looks BAD ASS i would like to know how much (if anone knows) it is going to be??????
A: I was just at the Nissan dealership yesterday talking to them about this car. I’m thinking of trading my 350Z in for one when thy start importing them in May. He gave me a base price of $68,584.
Q: What do you think about the new Nissan GT-R that’s coming out in the U.S. soon?
I wouldn’t mind having one of those bad boys sitting in the garage, what about you?
A: Straight up sexy =]
Q: how do i get to own a 1996-98 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 in Puerto Rico?
Im planning on moving to Puerto Rico and was wondering how can i register one their cause i know emissions their wont be a problem
A: It’s hard enough to see a skyline in the U.S. let alone own one
Q: can you drive 2009 nissan skyline gt-r in the usa?
can you drive 2009 nissan skyline gt-r in the usa
A: The new GT-R is meant to be coming to the US,Nissan wanted a GT-R model which could be made LHD also.
Not 100% sure of engines tho, last time i spoke to someone from Nissan the US version was going to differ slightly. But that was about 6 months ago so things might have changed.
Q: How do I unlock Nissan GT-R Proto in NFS Prostreet??
For PC. I hv beat Battle machine but there is still the race day with drift race remaing. I’m going to challenge React racing crew but befor that i need a god car. Please help me.
A: NFS Expert at your service.
You will unlock the GTR once you go past Super Promotion, but I think I unlocked it earlier.Temporarily use someother good tuner car for grip then get the R35 instead of the Proto. It’s more powerful…
Q: Is the Nissan GT-R legal in the US?
Is the 2011 Nissan GT-R legal to own or sell in the US? A friend of mine claimed to have seen one around town, but I’m not sure if he saw what he claims to have seen. I know the older Skylines arent legal, but is the latest model legal?
A: Yes they are. You can buy them at Nissan dealerships and used car dealers.
Q: What is better in a Nissan GT-R then in a Porsche Carrera GT?
A: Agreed Also the nissan is a wimpy v6 and the Porsche is a V10….come on even IF the Carrera was slower id still take it
“By the time your brain has caught up with the ever-increasing velocity, the GT has passed 130 mph—in 10.8 seconds, and hey, was that the quarter-mile marker at 11.2 seconds and 132 mph? The comparison with the $659,430 650-hp Ferrari Enzo is inevitable, so here goes: The Enzo gets to 60 in 3.3 seconds, 100 in 6.6, and the quarter in 11.2 seconds at 136 mph.”
also if it matters i found this to be pretty cool…”The engine, the gearbox, and the differential reside in a lightweight carbon-fiber subframe that bolts to a bulkhead behind the two seats. Since the subframe carries the structural load, Porsche used three flexible engine mounts—one in front and two at the rear—to isolate the chassis from engine vibrations.”
Carrera…5.7L V-10 605 HP…(3042 lbs)
Nissan…3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 473 HP…also no Manual Transmission Option…lame!!! also weights as much as a bus…(3,836lbs)
Q: Why is the 2011 Nissan GT-R called MY11? And why the 2012 one called EGOIST?
Weird names.
EDIT: Found out that MY11 means Model Year 2011 from looking for the 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX. So now, EGOIST is still being researched.
A: MY11 usually means Model Year 2011. as does MY07 means Model Year 2007. This applies to all cars. dunno bout the egoist
Q: What car should I get in real life a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 or a Subaru Impreza?
Tell me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like them both
A: Myself i would go for the GTR i like Subaru’s but for me with there be so many about and many elderly people driving them it has spoilt a great car.
Also i have owned a R32 and now have the R33 spec 2 GTS-T and they have been great cars,so much fun all round so the chance to own the Daddy of skylines (apart from limited versions)Must be the greatest drive ever.
But you cant go wrong with either but personal choice def the R34.
