I have been searching for a 1999 Toyota celica with all the options but without success. I found a 1994 that has everything I want plus only one owner. They are asking almost 6k for the car and I’ve found many newer cars (Honda Civics etc) for close to that price. The celica is my dream car but I’m thinking reliability, lifespan and how much it’s really worth…
I did a complete carfax check on this car and it has had only one owner who had it serviced at a toyota service center every 4 thousand miles. No accidents, no part replacements. And I was planning on negotiating the price because of the age.
A: The car is well overpriced. I would not even consider it for more than $4,000, and that assumes that it has extremely (under 50K) low miles on it and no rust!

A: this is a very easy conversion to bo ase the 3sge uses all the same mounts as the 3sfe and will bolt straight up to you orig tran;s assy but the manual gearbox from the st is not as strong as the 5speed from 3sge so if i was to do
this conversion i would fit motor antransmissionon as a unit also if possible obtain the computer assy but if not your orig will self lurn once it has been disconected the battery

I have a 1994 toyota celica, I was wondering what I should do to make it look better. The paint looks dull doesnt really shine like a new car how can I fix that? Its silver btw. Also the rims are very dirty and i tried using rim cleaner and it does nothing. Interior also I want to make it look very flashy. Can I get prices too and if you think its even really worth it.

A: Celica’s are highly sought after cars so keep it. A paint job can fix the exterior. while you can pay $300 for a MAACO cheap job, find a custom shop and pay $600 – it will be worth it. New rims can be pricey but may be the way to go if you want “flash”. Steam cleaning or using a high pressure sprayer will get the dirt off. If they are painted, be careful as you can get too close and blast off the paint. Harder to spiff up the interior cheaply. Seat covers, of course. But if you have leather, use Armor All to make it shine. Just be sure it dries completely!

I’m a college student and i get compliments all the time from guys about how awesome my car is, even when i’m picking my sister up from high school i notice lots of guys checking out my car and even a few have asked if its for sale. If you like it you should get it, i love mine! its a really reliable car. the only problem is it sucks on snow and ice so if you get snow or ice where you live… put bags of sand in trunk so you dont spin off the road!!

A: Most Toyotas from the 1980’s used the same dang 4-cyl engine, the infamous 22R. What a workhorse. Made Toyota famous and earned them gobs and gobs of millions of dollars.
I’d think that one 22R is a 22R, meaning they’re the same. Only troubles might be mounting equip to match to trannies if they are diff.
